 As soon as we arrived in camp, we went on a game drive in the afternoon.

 When you look out to the Masai Mara it looks like there is nothing but trees. But if you use your binoculars or through a telescope, you will see animals all over the place. So sad to be leaving this beautiful place. I hope to come back to witness the great migration and this scenenery will change and you will see millions of animals especially the Wildbeests that will eat the grass here and cross the Masai river and move on to their next destination ?? Masai Mara National Reserve is one of the most popular tourism destinations in Kenya- Africa. The reserve is located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland.
Wildlife tends to be most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment.
The Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife viewing areas. The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November.
There have been some 95 species of mammals, amphibians and reptiles and over 400 birds species recorded on the reserve.

Downtime in the camp is after lunch when it gets hot and before your next game drive at 4pm. Best time to take a bath is in the afternoon so its not cold. Tub time facing the Masai Mara

 They have a gym and pool both facing the Masai Mara. I could stare at it all day ??

Another downtime activity – There’s a library in @angamasafari where you can read a book, watch movies or work 🙂  Ofcourse we made sure we watched Out of Africa. Many scenes in the film are from the Masai Mara and Nairobi in the Karen Blixen House/Museum #angamamara #h2hsafari#a2asafaris

 Only 18 kilograms each  Uh oh small plane 🙂  Our home in the Masai Mara for 3 nights at Angama Mara @angamasafari The first photo is the view from the plane before landing. It is situated on the rim of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment overlooking the #masaimaraThe Swahili word “angama” means hanging in mid air. There are 30 suites – 15 per kopje. There are different seating areas but all comfy and charming #talismannairobi #nairobi #kenya #h2hsafari#a2asafaris    Love the frog ? heater they put since its outdoor.   Calamari with black ink and chili sauce  Porcini and parmesan tartlets- Super yum! Twice cooked pork belly    Fish and chips
