Mia has been selling bags in bazaars and now she has a new home for her bags so people can come over anytime to see her collection

At the same time, her husband, Tommy, has a little coffeeshop where you can relax and have coffee and snacks

This is my favourite!! The Belgian lace cookies!! P185.00 only for this pack and it is so fresh and crispy 🙂

Super enjoyed the Bowl of chili!!! and all the sandwiches

Bangkok Market

As soon as we arrived in Bangkok, Mom and I went to Chatuchak Market. We arrived Sunday noon time so we did not want to miss the weekend market. I was feeling bad I missed the Chiang Mai Saturday market and felt I could have bought more things there than here and at more reasonable prices. Here are some shots I took

Mom and I were wondering if this was the real saffron- it was very cheap so maybe not 🙂

In the art section- cute these miniature paintings

Mom and I had not eaten lunch since we arrived and we were getting dizzy at around 3pm so we went to one of the stalls and we had Thai iced tea, Pad thai and Mango sticky rice! Very good!!!!

There is a new place called Asiatique and it had just opened – Just take the MTS to Sathorn- then you will see free boat rides going to Asiatique- It opens at 5pm til midnight

The place is so alive with so many people, many shops and many restaurants! They had similar shopping stalls as Chatuchak though I liked the ambience here better

Cultural Tours in Chiang Mai

Though you can really just stay in the resort and not go out of the place, there are still some places to go for sightseeing and discover Chiang Mai 🙂 The hotel has a desk where you can choose excursions around the city

Mom chose this for us and a visit to the City Arts and Cultural Center

City Arts and Cultural Center where they had a museum showing the history of Chiang Mai

Then we went to the market!! Again I have regrets because I was thinking we will see this in Bangkok, but apparently there are some things here that are not the same as in Bangkok 🙁
