Travel. Discover. Explore. This forward moving energy informs the spring and summer collections as endless versatility, effortless shapes and tactile finishes lend a palpable air of discovery to each piece. With a focus on adaptability and uncomplicated ease—key Banana Republic signatures—all make fitting additions to a modern wayfarer’s valise.
A survey of the season’s new neutrals starts with a range of airy whites. Evolving like light and shadow at midday, the subdued gradient sweeps from warm ivory to cool ecru, and on into a handful of quiet prints. Silhouettes are equally as relaxed: dropwaist dresses, breezy maxi skirts and liquid like sheaths form her indispensible wardrobe while drawstring linen pants, washed leather blazers, and tailored knits round out his.
The subtle washes of color crest and break into a series of oceanic hues from watery blue to slate grays, where authentic textures pervade. Slub cotton leggings are topped off with a denim military blazer and boxy parachute blouses fit with trim tulip skirts, creating a clever sense of whimsy. Menswear echoes this lighthearted exchange as chambray oxfords loosen up patch?pocket safari jackets while streamlined exteriors in salty gray hues add polish to heather sweatshirts.
Utilitarian classics—each as easy to wear as it is to build upon—provide the perfect foundation for a leisurely tour through summer’s lush rainforest prints and exotic patterns. Fresh combinations of texture and proportion are explored with a sense of romantic wanderlust: a batik midi skirt warms up a short trench dress, cargo pants become sophisticated when rendered in liquid like tencel, while floral blooms put a distinctly feminine spin on tailored safari jackets. And with a wedge heel and sculptural straps, the neutral Belmont heel is well suited for any excursion.
Likewise, his adventurous separates—such as the slim cargo pant, patch?pocket shirts, walking shorts and suede Clarks desert boots—make transitions easy to navigate. A palette of muted spice tones acts as the harmonious underpinning to the contemporary Continental essentials including madras shirting, inviting Henley knits and heritage army jackets in cool khaki or olive drab—even a witty flash of paisley.
The journey continues through floribunda territory as graceful bloom-covered dresses, ranging from dainty hand-drawn florals to exuberant watercolors, add the final punctuation to a season of artful statements. Distinctive embellishments culled along the way—market scarves, supple leather totes, burnished pendants, wood bead clutches and soft-brim hats—recall the treasured mementos from a traveler’s diary.
Banana Republic is exclusively distributed in the Philippines by Casual Clothing Specialists, Inc. (CCSI), a subsidiary of Stores Specialists, Inc., and is available at Greenbelt 5 and Rustan’s Department store Makati

The new Spring Summer 2011 Tod’s collection for women focuses on the quality of the leathers, such as ultra supple calf leather and precious crocodile and python skins, which play with the color nuances found in nature.
The mix of the surface textures with the underlying structure of the skins brings out the natural colour of the leather. When paired with a selection of color combinations, such as neutral with primary colors or a mix of only primary colors, the leather still reveals its core natural hue despite the applied touches of vibrant color.
or the new season, Tod’s presents the Shirt Bag, crafted in ultra soft leather with a drawstring closure that gives the silhouette of the bag an appearance of lightness.
The Shirt Bag is completely unstructured and is the new must-have for today’s woman; a chic woman who is constantly travelling and who can now fold her bag several times over without ruining it thanks to the exquisite quality of the leather it is made from.
The most refined and skilled craftsmanship has been used to create this elegant and ultra versatile bag which is perfectly emblematic of the Tod’s DNA.
The new tote bag boasts an elegant and linear design and is crafted in either ultra soft calf leather or in precious crocodile skin. It is a timeless style that is both stylish and practical. Available in three sizes, the new tote is the perfect day-to-night design – large and roomy for the daylight hours and available in a smaller version with a shoulder strap for the evening.
The D Bag is one of our iconic styles and is the ultimate embodiment of superior craftsmanship and the best of “Made in Italy”. Every season the style evolves while staying true to its original character. For spring summer 2011 it is presented in a new luxurious version in reversed sheepskin and is enriched with platinum-plated hardware.
The new clutch bag with buckle is crafted in colorful python skin; it is the perfect size for a cocktail bag, but is also suitable for the day thanks to its hidden shoulder strap.
In footwear, the Gommino collection grows this season thanks to metallic leathers, colorful suedes and precious crocodile, available in a vast selection of colors.
Our ballerina flats have also been updated thanks to colorful suede enriched with silver ties, giving this classic style real character.
The high heel segment of the collection features elegant heels that boast a clean design and offers detailing such as cut-outs, woven saddlery, crafted leather and visible hand stitching; the same details can be found in our flat styles.
Marlin Hyannisport, a style that has been a huge success in the men’s collection, is also available for women in classic browns as well as in delicate pink or light blue suede with a white sole.
The clog, in dark hued wood with a streamlined silhouette is enriched with colorful or neutral toned bands of crocodile leather. A rubber sole makes it practical and the perfect style for the summer.

Hackett London’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection puts a contemporary twist on menswear and accessories that hark back to an era when the sartorial demands of the Englishman abroad meant that form and function were equally considered. All of Hackett’s signature details – luxurious quality, timeless design and intelligently considered attention-to-detail – are in evidence and reinforce Hackett’s status as the definitive menswear label for the modern gentleman about town (and country).
Correspondent is inspired by the globetrotting gentleman and the two-tone shoe of the same name, which evokes the basis for the color palette. Warm weather, lightweight suiting comes in cool wool and linen blends with travel as a key influence in the collection; nylon blazers are created from crease-retaining ‘memory’ nylon for relaxed sophistication and regular nylon for a sharp, minimal exterior look which conceals a wealth of interior details.
‘Correspondent’ is best accessorized with casually draped linen scarves, leather-trimmed luggage and vintage-look tortoiseshell glasses for further highlights to bring modernity and authenticity elegantly together.
The Mayfair collection maintains its reputation as Hackett’s premium line and is refreshed for Spring/ Summer through clever use of color and knitwear. The clean lines of the tailoring remain and utilize a traditional color palette of muted classic tones such as navy and a variety of grays. Lighter weight fabrics have been used in accordance with the change of weather for the season. The suiting becomes lifted by a wide variety of ultra fine gauge cotton and cotton/cashmere mix knitwear in summery tones. The Mayfair collection also blends sophisticated, casual sportswear in luxurious fabrics alongside the suiting to broaden the appeal of the story.
Caribbean continues a travel theme in an explosion of color and print. Best described as clothing and swimwear created for ‘island life’ Caribbean has been produced in a rainbow of patterns and solid plains in searing brights and ‘sun-bleached’ pastels.
Prints are key to the swim story in tones from oceanic turquoise and sky blue through to citrus lime, tangerine and exotic fuchsia; florals, seersucker stripes and ginghams appear sharp and fresh or sea-washed. A broad range of cotton and linen trousers and shorts vary in color and texture.
Hackett’s strong connections with the polo world appear with a new beach polo range, a more athletic story, which incorporates insignias and crests associated with the sport.
Taking all of the sartorial elements synonymous with sailing and yachting Nautical ‘re-imagines’ them through clever design and sophisticated reinvention. In a palette of navy and crisp white with accents of red, the story refines nautical style in garments created with only the most luxurious, decadent aspects of boating in mind.
Key pieces include navy double-faced jackets with red linings, horizontal striped blazers, lightweight white suiting and nautical striped polo shirts. Knitwear is strong with sweaters in textured cables, fine basket weaves, Breton-stripes and design details such as shoulder-fastenings. A new range of deck shoes compliments the collection.
Hackett London is exclusively available at Rustan’s Makati and Shangri-la Plaza

For Spring 2011 we thought about what felt natural and the most relevant to us right now. We focused on what makes women look and feel beautiful, on easy dressing and the idea of elegant sportif. Silhouettes are clean and simple, with a nod to the 70s. Jackets and blouses are tailored but loose; pants are either cropped and slim or long and wide; skirts hit mid-calf, a new length for us. The color palette is inspired by nature—bright pops of yellow, red and blue played against earth tones and blush.
Accessories reflect this laidback spirit with oversized jute and Nantucket bags and bright, boxy leather looks. Shoes are a mix of jute platforms, woven heels and leather sandals.
Jewelry includes gold hoop earrings, snake bangles and bold necklaces.
In the Philippines, Tory Burch is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City.

Though we always complain about the heat during summer, this is the time when all the beautiful flowers come out!!! While driving in the village, I took photos of the trees with different flowers. The bougainvillas are so beautiful hanging on walls

For the summer season, striking and bright colored outfits are the usual trend. But for those who want to stand out with sophistication, Massimo Dutti’s Spring Summer 2010 collection will help you achieve this. The cornerstone of Massimo Dutti’s collection is the urban, elegant, refined and up-to-date men and women who are proud of his or her identity without being a slave to fashion trends.
This season’s collection unfolds countless varieties of looks and designs that elicit a subtle yet distinctive look with the perfect mix of shades and fabrics. Aside from the neutrals black and white, a little use of earth tones such red, dusty pink, taupe, asphalt and orange are combined with more cold colors like sea green, shades of purple, and rich gray to give the right amount of coolness and at the same time maintain a little heat for the summer season. Fabrics on the other hand are a mix of linen, cotton, nylon, and silk which are light materials perfect for the hot season.
Massimo Dutti provides a selection of clothes and accessories to equip you with a balance of comfort and elegance. For the urban chic, there is poetic warmth of color with touches of cooler shades where the elegant look, and at times casual, take on volume and much detail. The palette of colors range from dusty pink, plum, brown, emerald green, shades of blue, to the staple colors black and white. Layering is a dominant trend this season – who said summer is only about dressing less? Light fabrics such as linen and cotton in various structures are the predominant materials that give comfort and breeze from the summer heat. Blouses and dresses come in plain colors, stripes, embroidered fabrics and floral prints with intricately detailed finishes. On top of this, light coats and jackets are perfect for your day at work. Knitted vests and hats are available too for a more casual look.
All these can be paired with choices of shorts, trousers, or jeans for work or any ordinary day. For the finishing touches to get you ready to strut the streets under the summer heat are accessories. Bags and purses, clutches, and totes are a variety of suede or leather with luster or intricate designs depending on use and occasion. Scarves also come in a variety of colors in plain, plaid, or paisley prints to complement your look. There are also belts that come in plain leather or with metal studs. For footwear are choices of Chelsea, ankle, and high cut boots in leather or suede, sandals, slip-ons, loafers, pumps and peep toe heels, or casual sneakers – whichever fits your mood or get-up. Lastly, accessories of course! Bracelets, necklaces, and watches come in simple designs for a clean fashionable look.
For men, vintage feel is imbibed as garments are distressed for a classic look tweaked with a touch of modernity. Bold colors such as sea green, blue, vibrant orange, red and deep purples coexist with earth tones and shades of asphalt.
Shirts come in plain colors, stripes, and plaids or checks. Over these shirts, cotton cardigans and nylon jackets are teamed with cargo shorts, trousers, and jeans with much focus given to intricate embroidery and various dyes throughout the collection. Scarves for men are also available in plain, checkered and paisley print to refurbish an outfit. To match are footwear such as loafers in suede and leather, boats shoes, and casual sneakers. For accessories, bags perfect for work or traveling are roomy and stylish satchels and duffel bags.
