My treat for my birthday – Visiting the Malaga Cathedral. (There is an entrance free ) I figured it is a change of treat rather than the usual meal and they will pray for me It is the richest church in terms of Baroque architecture. It’s so beautiful with altars surrounding the main altar. What a blessing to be here and a most wonderful way to spend my birthday #malagacathedral #malaga#h2hchurches #h2hcostadelsol#h2hcelebrations

There are 36 museums in Malaga. The most important of which is the Pablo Picasso museum where 80 years of his works are displayed. He was born here (1881) in Malaga and his wish was for his works to be displayed in the city where he was born. This was made possible by his grandson & wife Bernardo & Christine Ruiz through their donation. Located at the Palacio de los Condes de Buenavista in the old pueblo. Look for Pablo Picasso here i spotted him “A picture only lives for the person looking at it” – Pablo Picasso #pablopicasso#malagapueblos #pueblosdemalaga
Delicious lunch in Los Mellizos in #malaga Finally we got to eat here. They have a new annex which is in another building – so it is more modern. They have the original restaurant across the street but it is always full.
Black paella was our favorite make sure to ask for aioli sauce. #losmellizos#h2hcostadelsol #h2hseafood
Love the menu with photos!
Love my bday cake from Los Mellizos – they just put together desserts from the chiller – so it had a mixture of crema catalan, the millefeuille and tiramisu with lots of cream. Muchas gracias #losmellizos#h2hcostadelsol #h2hbirthdaycakes#h2hdesserts #h2hstarbucks
Easter Sunday mass at the Paroquia Imaculada which is right beside the Plaza de Toro. Old town Mijas is very small yet they have almost everything – a Cathedral and even a bull ring! They have this garden by the cathedral From which you can see the view of an area of Mijas where they have restaurants facing the view
Viva resucita!! Live the day of resurrection !
Even the kids have a mini procession with the parents following after the kids. The crowd awaits the procession from the centre
We rushed back home to watch from the balcony. Beautiful celebration at #mijaspueblo #h2hcostadelsol#h2hkids #semanasanta2019
Mijas #mijaspueblo is so beautiful. This is my favorite city in Costa del Sol. So blessed to be able to live here for 4 days with our good friends. There are 4 main areas to see the most spectacular views in such a small pueblo. You have 4 churches to choose from in less than one NYC block. Everywhere here is so clean, so organized and one day I am going to live beside my friend Make sure to eat the freshly cooked nuts and gelato in the streets. Look for what they call the Most beautiful street in Mijas. 1.5 hrs to Sevilla and Granada, 15 mins to Malaga and Marbella. So you are secluded in spme way but very near civilization So sad to say goodbye to this place #h2hcostadelsol
Early morning, Rina toured me around the pueblo of Mijas. I told her I wanted to see it while it is still quiet- people bringing their horses to work from where they live in the mountains, without the tourists. So peaceful and Just so beautiful walking the narrow and cobble stone streets. It is so clean and everything in order. Mijas is known as the white city since all the structures are white We have been here around 15 years ago as a tourist, now we come to actually live here for a few days and it’s a blessing #mijaspueblo#h2hcostadelsol
Spanish ceramics #mijaspueblo #h2hcostadelsol
Rina didn’t only get a place to live in but a few steps down the road she bought an empty space to open a shop – find out what kind of shop. I am so happy for her she is fulfilling her dreams. When i was there she was fixing her shop, but a few days ago, she opened and is very happy with the results. When you are in Mijas pueblo make sure you visit her here #mijaspueblo #h2hcostadelsol#h2hpeople
She doesn’t like candies but she likes giving them away to kids
Celebrating Rina The reason why we are here – to celebrate Rina’s 50th. In lieu of having a big party, she invited her good friends to celebrate with her and to share her new home in Mijas. Dinner at the best restaurant in Mijas according to the birthday girl El Mirlo Blanco which is right by her place. Everything is so nearby in the little pueblo #mijaspueblo Nice and quiet dinner. The Rabo de toro ( tail of the bull ) was delicious. Make sure to have the Grand Marnier souffle con helado especially if you are celebrating #elmirloblanco#h2hcostadelsol #h2hcelebrations Miniature version of the restaurant 🙂 Love it They make their own olive oil which you can purchase by the bottle. It is very good!! Sangria!
In #mijaspueblothere’s a pretty lady ( half Belgian half Spanish) with a nice Espartas ( espadrilles) store. It has different brands from Spain #h2hcostadelsol #h2hshoes
