Medical Shopping

By | Health and Fitness, Shopping, Travel | No Comments

In the States, you can find anything and everything!  This trip, James, Dina and I went around shopping for things for Dad.

First stop was this place which Isa recommended

medical-shopping-01.jpgmedical-shopping-02.jpg

They have all kinds of things to aid the elderly.  Amazing!

medical-shopping-03.jpgmedical-shopping-04.jpg

Then we went to Sleep Train which specializes in mattresses

medical-shopping-09.jpg

We were looking at beds that can go up and down like a hospital bed 🙂

medical-shopping-010.jpg

We love Stearns and Foster, the one who makes the mattresses for the Four Seasons Hotel

In the States there are so many choices to make.  I don’t know if that is good or it just complicates our purchase 🙂

medical-shopping-013.jpgmedical-shopping-014.jpg

Next stop Lazboy 🙂

medical-shopping-016.jpg

Our salesman 🙂

medical-shopping-018.jpg

We got this lazboy because it lifts so it is easier to get up!

medical-shopping-020.jpgmedical-shopping-017.jpg

And then we went to check out wheelchairs 🙂 Believe me when I say they have everything!

medical-shopping-05.jpg

This was a place just selling wheelchairs- ALL KINDS!

medical-shopping-06.jpg

The owner of the place 🙂  He told us they can customize any kind of wheelchair – the size, the kind, the color – you name it.  He even said there is a wheelchair that costs US$ 20,000!

medical-shopping-021.jpg medical-shopping-019.jpg

They can even do this for your car!

King of Thai Noodle House San Francisco

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

We went to the city to check out a store and we were so hungry – it was around 3pm and we had not eaten our lunch yet coming from Danville.  We parked the car and we saw this place!  It was jam packed for 3pm.  More people kept coming in

We enjoyed the thai food that we had – this curry was squash based instead of coconut based

Danville Concours d’Elegance

By | Toys for the Big Boys, Travel | One Comment

James asked me to accompany him to a car show in Danville.  We drove about an hour away from San Mateo.  I love the small town of Danville!

Just in the parking lot, there were already many nice cars parked

danville-car-show-01.jpgdanville-car-show-02.jpg

Entrance to the show, they closed the street for the event

danville-car-show-03.jpgdanville-car-show-011.jpgdanville-car-show-04.jpg

How nice! It was a fund raiser for Team Fox!

It’s nice because in the street are nice coffee shops and quaint vintage stores!  I was so worried I would get bored, but I enjoyed it and wished we had more time to hang around

China Bistro San Mateo

By | Foodie, Travel | No Comments

There are so many restaurants in 3rd and 4th Avenue in San Mateo!  Since we are not so familiar yet with the area, we just drive down and see what catches our attention and then we just try 🙂

This one caught the attention of James since it was very bright and it was a new restaurant.  So we went to try it

china-bistro-san-mateo-01.jpg

A bit groovy 🙂

We had the very basic Chinese menu 🙂  And it was really good!!!

china-bistro-san-mateo-019.jpg

This was a vegetable dish recommended by the waiter – He just said Tofu with vegetables – so we don’t know the dish name – but it was really good!  That tofu was so yummy!!
