Whenever I hear and see my cousin, Jaime, sing, I want to cry…… it just happens when he comes out and starts to sing……. it’s because he has such a great singing voice… I am so proud to be his cousin…… the songs he chooses to sing are my type of songs and he changes the lyrics to fit the occassion and the person or whoever he is composing the song for so there is so much more meaning…………..I am your fan Jaims! I will listen to you anytime!

The Beginning of the Next 50 Years!

Happy 51st Anniversary to Tito Oscar and Tita Connie!! And it is only the beginning….

What a beautiful gift from Tita Cedie who worked so hard to fill up and tie each of the 27 photo frames with the photos of the 27 grandchildren hanging on this beautiful silver tree. Not only is it a beautiful gift, it symbolizes the MEANING and VALUE of FAMILY! Aside from being a successful couple in the Philippine industry, Tito Oscar and Tita Connie are successful at raising a wonderful family. Achievements can be measured in many ways but having a family that you love is PRICELESS. I heard that Tito Oscar would bring the whole family on vacation trips and would even hire a bus to transport all the 27 grandchildren…..WOW!!! That’s something my Dad would do! 🙂 No matter what…the grandchildren are always included. Success would not mean anything if you did not have a loving family to go home to and share your success with. Heart2Heart pays tribute to a great and wonderful couple that we admire and look up to.Here’s to the beginning of the next 50 more years of togetherness!

Thank you very much for inviting our family to celebrate this special celebration at your beautiful Baguio home…. which of course Tito Oscar and Tita Connie made sure would fit the whole family including the 27 grandchildren!

Just their family alone was a party in itself….plus a few friends and us……

Dancing Cop

Everyone probably knows the famous dancing cop….. he stands by the intersection of Mc Kinley Parkway and 5th Avenue as you enter the Fort. Heart2Heart was able to take a few photos of him a few months ago….and is paying tribute to him for inspiring many to find joy in whatever job you are doing at the same time making people happy. Anyone who makes people smile has to be part of Heart2Heart.

And of course, he is all dressed up as Santa for Christmas!

Remembering Lola Glecy

We remember a great woman- Lola Glecy, GRT, Mommy, Glecy, Gliceria. She will always be known as the entrepreneur that pioneered the retailing industry in the Philippines. No one will ever compare to her.Though we miss her, she is always in our hearts and is very much alive in our daily lives. I felt that she believed in me, she always encouraged me to do my best….. to do what is right. She was always proud of my work and told me many of her trade secrets. She was my mentor. I really wish I had more time to spend with her and learn from her. I will always be proud to be her grandaughter………I love you Lola. Your spirit will live on forever!

Two Worlds by Nicole

On one occassion, I received a book from my cousins, M. Donnie and Crix. It was a beautiful compilation of poems by my hijada, Nicole.

When I read her poems, I was very shocked that I had not experienced my hijada who had grown up so fast. I hardly know anyone who can express herself so well at that age. Many describe it as “deep” and “dark” but I guess that is what adolescents go through and it just so happens that Nicole can express it through her literary talents. Atleast she has a way of venting her thoughts and her emotions……. and now she has shared it through her book. I am so proud of her.
