A few weeks ago, I bonded with my Assumption Highschool batch mates. AC Batch ’87 This prayer group is called GDs. ( Gorgeous Donkeys) We come together for many things and one of them is prayer. But first of all we eat! haha!!
It was Cherry’s birthday so she treated us with Pepita’s lechon with truffle rice. Too bad when I got there it was almost gone! 🙂
Batchmates bring food and share their goodies like my best friend Eds brought her home baked apple pie 🙂 YUMMY!
Toots brings her Red Lady papaya which is so fresh and so sweet

Lindy brought her son’s homemade pastries
We have monthly prayer meetings. There is bible reading then sharing. I am not one to really talk and share that is why I don’t really attend this prayer group haha!!
That evening, Cherry’s niece, Mara, was a special guest and shared with us her experience as a cancer survivor
Our batch mate Amy attended the meeting as well since she wanted to thank the batch personally. She and her family needed some help and it’s amazing how the batch helped her in many ways!! When someone is in need – there is no questions asked, in an instant everyone helps in their own way!! I am so lucky to be part of this batch
This is my 2nd time to attend the prayer meeting in all the 7 years they have been doing this but the beauty of it is that I know I will always be welcome to join when I want. I am lucky to be part of a batch that is so supportive of each other. It is amazing how even we are not close to everyone, the batch brings us together some way and makes us feel connected.
