By | Foodie, Travel, Velada 2012 | 2 Comments

In the West coast,  I’m always so happy I get to visit my good friend, Triccie!!!  I invite myself over to her house and I want to see if she changed her home since I was last there

Previous entry:  Ernie and Triccie in SF April 22, 2007

The house is the same with a newly renovated kitchen and they have a new child, Fayth!  🙂  Here is Ernie with Fayth

Peachy’s Despedida

By | Foodie, Velada 2012 | 5 Comments

When I was a new student in Assumption first year highschool, one of my best friends was Peachy.  She took care of me together with Tinette and Eds and introduced me to everyone and made me feel at home

8_2-copy.jpg

This is proof that we were very close! 🙂  She gave me an original copy of the proof of her graduation photo.  When you are in highschool, these little details mean a lot 🙂

scan1191_2-copy.jpg

And here is Peach with her stuffed toys in her room where we spent many afternoons after school and weekends hanging out here

scan1062_2-copy.jpg

And a few weeks ago, I visited that home 25 years later.  It was recently renovated and was supposed to be where Peach and her family would live.  Only to find out that she had to move abroad and follow her husband Rudy to his job assignment

peachys-despedida-047.jpgpeachys-despedida-01.jpg

Peach had a despedida and I was happy to be back here where we had a lot of memories

peachys-despedida-02.jpg

And here is her eldest son, Sebe, welcoming and opening the door for us 🙂

peachys-despedida-03.jpgpeachys-despedida-04.jpg

And here is the other cutie pie, Jacob with Peachy Boo!

From batchmate Lala Dy:

AC 87 Relief operations truly amazing! Everyone just gave sincerely from their hearts: time, sweat, muscles, resources, charm and smiles — all worth the aching backs and tired bodies!

Families in angono and cainta super grateful for all our donations as well as those from Xavier school and Victory Church. The little we all shared and put together surely made a big difference in the lives of many!

Super thanks to Supergirl Margie Duavit for generously opening her home and staff and Chief Coordinator Bong who both have really brought us to far reaching barangays still submerged in water. And not to forget the priceless able assistance of Lt Col Demy Zagala and his soldiers for providing us an army truck and security the entire time!

Cecille Rabuco MD

By | Health and Fitness, Tributes, Velada 2012 | No Comments

I was having my annual check up at Medicard and I bumped into my batchmate, Cecille!

cecile-rabuco-01.jpg

I was so happy to see her!!!  Kwento kwento kwento…….

I knew she was a gynecologist but I did not know she was assigned to the Medicard I go to, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday! I am so proud of my Assumption batchmates – everyone has become successful in their own field of expertise

cecile-rabuco-03.jpg

Oh my gosh! Then I realized I was scheduled for a papsmear that day and that she was the one going to perform it!!!! YIKES!!!

So I asked to be rescheduled!  haha!!! I am shy!!!  So I just took her photo by the bed I did not lay down on! 🙂

to assign specific tasks to each one of us to be sure that we are all part of our Velada

 img_0633.jpgvelada-committees.jpg

Afterwhich we had a batch get together to inform everyone of everything that was going to happen.

Batchmates listening so attentively 🙂

img_0784.JPG img_0785.JPG

It was also an opportunity to bond again with everyone before rehearsals

I am counting around 42 of us in this photo and around 2 or 3 who were not included since they had to leave early.  We hope to be as many as we can for our Velada when others will still join in and many others who will come from abroad!
