Cute Eco bags from my sister, Margs! It’s for fundraising for Barangay Martinez, an adopted Assumption Community in Antique which was badly affected by Yolanda. It’s a combined effort of all the levels wherein each one had to come up with products to sell. The Pre-Kinder batch decided to do these eco bags. A few more pieces left, Hope you can support. My Tita Nedy is amazing! Aside from running so many successful companies, she manages to give so much of her time and generous heart in giving back to society. I wish I could be like her! Well we are sort of similar, we are shy when it comes to dancing 🙂 She did not dance in her velada but she gave back and participated in other ways no one could match! 🙂
This is the second project she launched for her Assumption batch celebrating their Golden Jubillee this year!

Thank you Tita Nedy Tantoco and Rustan’s together with Tadashi Shoji for your donation to The Assumption Transformative School in Passi, Iloilo. Tita Nedy is from the Golden Jubilarians this year and it’s very timely as I am sure they will need a lot of help now to rebuild.

A Velada is a coming home event for the Silver jubilarians and a means of bonding with one another! Bonding not only with your own batch but with the whole Assumption community. That’s why I enjoy watching because everytime I go, I bump into so many people and get to watch a Tita or a friend performing. It’s so much fun!
It is not a competition as to who was the best batch, or who performed the best, who gave the most, but what is important is that we all help each other bring out the best in each one of us – whether it be your batchmates or between batches. After all we have one goal which is to give back to our school and of course to reunite and bond with our batchmates and schoolmates. It is important that we all give it our best without necessarily doing it to prove who is best! Having said all that 🙂 Heart2Heart will be expecting every year to become better and better as we learn from each other. So guys, we each have the throne for a year only! haha!!
Congratulations to my sister, Maricar, President of Batch ’88! What a wonderful Velada!!! My sister has been working so hard for the past years and especially for the last four months before Velada. I am truly proud of her and her whole batch!! It’s all worth it right? CONGRATS BATCH ’88!!!

I watched all of you with a big smile on my face!!! I LOVE VELADA!!! 🙂
I tried to take photos and videos at the same time but had a hard time! So please bear with me! I am putting up the videos I took from the 2nd floor! I am sorry if I was not able to take all the dances.
I am sure many are waiting to see them. Sorry if it is shaky or gets dark at times. Long story on the videos, it was shaky because I was trying to get an angle to make it bright and for the dark ones I had to have youtube enhance them to be brighter but it sacrificed the clarity a bit. I will change them to the professional ones if I ever get a hold of them 🙂 If you want to watch full screen, go directly to youtube and click on HD and click on that box on the bottom right for full screen viewing! If full screen make sure you choose HD or else it won’t be clear! ENJOY!! 🙂
This is day 2 – I went back to take videos of those I missed the first night. I thought I had a great idea to let my camera rest on the ledge and realized all my videos were dark!! OH NO!! Anyway putting it here for those who want to see a centered video.

During our Velada, we shared the stage with the other Jubilarians! They all did a great job and helped make our velada a memorable one. We are very much inspired now to be like the Pearl batch of 1982 and we are looking forward to performing again in five years! The Pearl batch dedicated their performance to a batchmate, Maggie. They say that when you put your heart and soul into the performance, it is what makes it a successful one

And today we received a beautiful surprise from her! Thank you Michelle for the feature in the Philippine Star and for helping us spread our message of FAITH!!! WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!
Here is the online article, hoping you can read this better
Here are some video clippings from Michelle’s Velada in 2004 ( Batch 1979) also choreographed by Maribeth Bichara – Many friends are here as well – Lisa Lorenzo Uy, Ola Regala, Rina Go, Ms. Joanne Ramirez ( our former teacher ), Lizette Cojuangco. Everyone’s velada day is a special one!
