Ciao Italia!: An Italian Affair

Celebrate the whole month of June in Italian style from food, fashion, and passion as Rustan Commercial Corporation, Rustan’s Supermarket and Stores Specialists, Inc. together with the Italian Trade Commission-Manila present Ciao Italia!: An Italian Affair. The Italian Festival will highlight the best of Italy thru a series of events including workshops, cooking demos, fashion shows, and a special film screening.

A Touch of Italy. Feel the luxury of Italian fashion and lifestyle products at Rustan’s Makati. Get into Italian living with their workshops every Thursday on the 4^th Level of Rustan’s Makati at 4 p.m. on June 5, “The Art of Coffee- Cappucino 101”; June 12, “Sideways- Savoring Italian Wine”; June 19, “Pasta 101- Al Dente”; and on June 26, “Entertaining Italian Style”. Several Italian “bambino” activities are also scheduled at the Children’s Divisions at the 3^rd Level.  

Scents of Italy. Capture the true essence of Italian fragrances during the weekend of June with the fifteen participating Italian luxury brands: Acca Kappa, Aqua de Genova, Aqua di Parma, Aqua de Portofino,  Bulgari, Caribbean Vanilla, D&G, Etra, Luciano Soprani, Monotheme, Moschino, Salvatore Ferragamo, Santa Maria Novella, Sonia Rykiel, and Versace

Moda Italia. Catch the style and sophistication of top fashion brands via in-store fashion shows at the 4^th and 5^th Levels of Rustan’s Makati at 6 p.m. on June 4 and 18 respectively, and be captivated by Italian luxury brands like Salvatore Ferragamo, Bulgari, Fendi, Diesel, Marlboro Classics, Tod’s, Roberto Coin, Giuseppe Zanotti, Sigerson Morrison, Gordon Rush, To Boot New York, and Pianegonda.

Mangiare Bene. Savor the magnificent flavor of Italian food and wine at participating Rustan’s Supermarket branches (Makati-Glorietta, Rockwell, Shangri-la and Katipunan). Enjoy special discounts on Italian products while savoring sumptuous Italian dishes at Le Gourmet in Rustan’s Supermarket  Makati-Glorietta.

To experience the true taste of Italian cuisine join Cuisina Italia where renowned Italian chefs exhibit their culinary expertise as they prepare sumptuous Italian dishes in select Rustan’s Supermarket stores on weekends: June 7 and 8 at the Rustan’s Supermarket Makati, June 14 and 15 at the Rustan’s Supermarket Rockwell, and June 21 and 22 at the Rustan’s Supermarket Shangri-La.

Other festival activities include the National Day Celebration featuring a concert by the UST Symphony Orchestra and other featured artists on June 2, an ADB seminar on Infrastructure, to be held for Italian businessmen and companies on June 10 in Rome, a screening of the Italian film Mimi Metallurgico Ferito Nell’Onore on June 17 at the CCP Dream Theater, and special promotions in selected restaurants and establishments during the festival period.
