Rustan’s Makati relaunches today and remembers when it opened 44 years ago! My Dad opened this Supermarket and he told me that my Mom was pregnant with me inside 🙂 So I am as old as Rustan’s Supermarket. I love this branch and this is where I usually go. I am so happy that it is new and bright and happy 🙂

Pierre Olivier Deplanck, CEO of Rustan’s Supercenters Inc. Pierre told me that they will be opening Marketplace soon in Bonfiacio Central Square in the basement. There are 13 Shopwise, Wellcome 14 stores, Rustan’s Supermarket 18 stores and Marketplace soon to be 2 for a total of 46 and should be 50 by the end of the year!! I am sure that will grow faster in the future. Pierre is from The Dairy Farm Intl Group which operates Wellcome, Oliver’s, IKEA, Mannings and Maxim in Southeast Asia

John Hardy now in the Philippines at Rustan’s Silver Vault Makati.
Jonas Zagury, Sales Director for International Market and my Tita Tess, the gemologist in the family. John Hardy, a Canadian, was founded in the mis 70’s in the USA. Neiman Marcus was the first department store to carry the line. In 2003, the company was bought by the head designer, Guy Bedarida ( French Italian ) who used to design for Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels. John Hard is now designed and manufactured in Bali, Indonesia
They have a nice Village in Ubud, Bali where they manufacture the jewellery. Watch here for a sneak peek

Congratulations to a great sister team who are both my Ninangs 🙂 Ninay Nedy and Ninay Len who are responsible for the beautiful renovation of the home department in Rustan’s Makati. Come visit the new department and see many beautiful things in store
and of course the Home department managers – Adora Ababa, Khukie Miller and Cecile Hermoso. I used to work with Adora and with Cecile who left for awhile and now is back!
There is an ongoing Home and Entertaining Month promotion till the 15th of September with special displays by people who love to entertain. See what they came up with by putting together the merchandise from the store. People nowadays love to entertain and come up with beautiful and unique set ups. It’s nice to see because it reflects on their personality and gives them a chance to express themselves through their work. Heart2Heart appreciates them
