With the holidays just around the corner, The Fruit Garden introduces two new jam flavours that will be available for a limited time only… Berry Dream and Tropical Paradise.
Berry Dream is a lovely mix of blueberry and strawberry fruits with a subtle hint of violet flowers inspired by Pierre’s childhood memories of violet candy. “ It is more a typical “winter” jam that eatenwhen those fruits aren’tin season. The uniqueness of that jam comes from the violet flower aroma. As child I used to eat violet candy, and it has a very special taste to me.” While Tropical Paradise is the result of over six months of testing to achieve the perfect balance of textures and flavors of passion fruit, pineapple and mango.
Both jams are bottled in unique and exclusive wave glass jars specially made for this year’s holiday line. The ‘wave’ idea hit Pierre during his yearly visit back to France. ‘Last June after having eaten at Carette Patisserie in the very high end 16th arrondissement,I walked across tothe stunning Madeleine Church and was attracted by a very colorful shop window. I knew this outlet for many years and it does not fail to impress me for what they can do with basic food products. The bottles and other packaging they had in the window were stunning. It inspired me to make the wave bottles for our jams.’ The ‘artsy’ bottles can be stacked one on top of the other and are pretty enough to be used for other things.

She will clean it for you
I bought 3 kilos and brought it for lunch. Mom and Tita Reggie prepared it. Here are instructions from Tita Reg on how to prepare
Pour boiled water over them to quickly blanch them and kill any bacteria if you are not sure of their freshness. Otherwise when you open them and they have a clean fresh salty aroma you should be able to eat them raw with lemon or vinegar bath.
