My Mom really takes time out to prepare for her friends and family. She is the best host and I really idolize her. She prepared breakfast for her Simbang Gabi group on the last day and we requested for her to extend her breakfast to brunch so we could also enjoy what they had………
The juices became three kinds of fresh juices- melon, kiwi and orange. What an idea and Mom suggested we mix them all into one juice – three seasons….

Everyone probably knows the famous dancing cop….. he stands by the intersection of Mc Kinley Parkway and 5th Avenue as you enter the Fort. Heart2Heart was able to take a few photos of him a few months ago….and is paying tribute to him for inspiring many to find joy in whatever job you are doing at the same time making people happy. Anyone who makes people smile has to be part of Heart2Heart.
And of course, he is all dressed up as Santa for Christmas!

Heart2Heart was invited to be one of the judges together with Malou Pineda of Powerplant Mall, Cecile Zamora ( Chuvaness ) of Philippine Star, Lorraine Belmonte of Mega Magazine, Dolores Cheng of Manprom and Joy Buensalido of Buensalido and Associates.
It was a tough decision since all of them were beautifully done. EVERYONE IS A WINNER for Heart2Heart! CONGRATULATIONS to all who joined the Creche Making Contest! Out of the Top 10 Finalists, the top three were chosen:

Bootcamp 11:30 am/10am class – Weng ( not in photo since she left early), Margie, Katie, Bobby, Mig, Bing, Liza, Ning Ning, Alexie, Ned, Joel and Bina – had a christmas get together. We missed others who could not make it – Marisa, Stella, Roseanne and James. It was nice to have some hubbies join in – Bobby and Joel.
We wanted to celebrate after all the hard work and pain our “puppy trainer”, Ned, made us go through the whole year 🙂
It was potluck so we brought food to share in the buffet. Paella Negra from the “Paella Queen” Margie, barbeque from Roseanne, Iberian Chicken from me, Tiramisu from Liza, Cheeseplate and Canneloni from Katie and Bina. And Thanks to Ning Ning for the Sausage Tortilla and the drinks and for allowing us to use your restaurant, Bistro 110, as our venue. Next time, we hope to try the food from your restaurant. That chocolate dessert was really good
We enjoyed eating and eating as much as we enjoy suffering together at bootcamp!
We are looking forward to bootcamp next year! NOT!! 🙂
Roselyn, I would never have doubted a recommendation by you, being the “gourmet traveller.” Thank you to you and your Mom, Tita Trillo for arranging a great dinner for us. We enjoyed celebrating our special day at your restaurant. The last time we were at La Vigne was when our good friends Suharto and Rina invited us over around two years ago with a group of 30 people.

I highly recommend this dish. Pied De Cochon ( Crisp boned leg of pork with duck liver, red cabbage, barley salad and sweet balsamic ) which Roselyn recommended as well. The foie gras went so well with the pork. I wish i could order the foie gras starter as a side dish tot his so it could go with the whole 3 pieces of pork. But that would really be sinful! 
This dish reminds me of a dish i had in Gothenburg which I featured in my past blog on Foie Gras. It was the Panfried Duck Liver with Lightly Salted, Crisp Fried Knuckle of Pork, Truffle jus served with Sweet and Sour Summer Cabbage in Sjomagasinet by Chef Leif Mannerstrom – Gothenburg, Sweden
James ordered the steak of course, the Steak Frites ( Prime rib eye ):
They also have a Bar Chow menu if you just want to hang out in the bar and enjoy the wine and have some pica pica………………….
They have a private room which fits around 12 people. I was not able to take photos as it was occupied at the time we were there. And you can have corporate events, it would be a perfect venue.
Every Christmas, everyone always looks forward to seeing the Christmas windows at Rustan’s. It is only Rustan’s that creates that MAGICAL touch every Christmas. The windows ( and now even the facade of the building ) are always so beautiful and really brings the Christmas spirit in our hearts! When we think of gifts and giving a special gift to someone, it has to come from Rustan’s. CHRISTMAS IS RUSTAN’s!

Taking you behind the scenes of that sumptuos lunch……Lucille is a serious chef which is why she has two kitchens. Her regular kitchen…..
……….and her “serious” kitchen where she does all her “serious” cooking and baking.
For now she does it as a hobby but maybe later on she would like to conduct cooking classes for some friends. What a beautiful kitchen!
With Lucille’s permission, Heart2Heart is also featuring her beautiful home. It is a five year old home designed by Maja Olivares-Co. The house is classic and timeless. Everything was in order and very clean. It is a three storey house with an attic. Lucille showed me her collection of paintings- Isabel Diaz being one of her favorites – and many of the beautiful things she bought from Rustan’s while we were still officemates around 15 years ago – framed Cartier scarves, Tiffany dinnerware, Tiffany ginger urn and an MMA ( Metropolitan Museum of Arts) vase. I particularly like the fact that she has an altar with a beautiful Mother in Child made out of ivory tusk in the middle of the rooms. The Christmas decors were elegantly done by Rustan’s flower shop. No wonder Lucille worked in Rustan’s…she loves Rustan’s just like me 🙂
