As soon as you enter the white tent/awning in the front of the United Nations – you are not in the USA but in UN International territory
What a blessing to be given a private tour at the UN ( United Nations) by my AC highschool batchmate, Rose Torres Javier @rtjavier70 and Sergeant Henry who took us to a floor that is not open to the public nor even to the staff. We got access because of Henry 
and we were able to have photos taken at the General Assembly podium

So happy to meet up with my batchmate from AC #h2hacbatch87Rose Torres Javier @rtjavier70 She came to New York in 1991 since her parents gave her a graduation gift to watch Ms. Saigon. She had a friend in the UN and she ended up working here first in Security, then HR and now in IT. She even met her husband here. So for 27 years she has only had one job after graduating. How loyal ? We bumped into many Filipinos inside. There are 9,000 employees in the UN and we are lucky to know one special one ?? #h2hpeople#h2hnyc
Going to the UN is like going to a museum. They have many priceless works of art and important pieces from countries from all over the world. A part of the Berlin wall in the garden, sputnik the first satellite launched in outer space, The pictures of all the Secretary Generals in tapestry ( they have a lot of tapestries) Norman Rockwell mosaic, Baldemor painting from the Philippines, solid gold items from the UAE Tapestry of the Berlin Wall ( which costs a lot to maintain and clean ) and many many more. And they are all gifts from the different member countries ( there are 193 countries that are part of the UN) All gifts are displayed all over the UN #h2hart #h2hnyc
She loves the Maialino al forno – slow roasted pork and their pastas.
