Marina Bay Spa and Lifestyle club is owned by the @vikingsluxurybuffet group. It is located in the Seaside Esplanade in the Mall of Asia complex. It’s sort of a getaway place because it’s not noisy and crowded in that area. It opened last September so everything is still brand new. All spa treatments come with the buffet!! First time for me to see this This is the steam bath, sauna, cold pool and warm pool area. I had this all to myself and it was so peaceful and so nice to relax here Therapy rooms
I love the pink himalayan salt lamp which is in every room, They have a gong before every treatment to remove bad energy in the cabins. Even just those little details add to the total experience. I liked my afternoon since i had the wet area all to myself – going at non peak times is the best.

After experiencing the spa for one whole afternoon at @marinabayspa , I asked my therapist who was operating the spa and if it was a foreigner because i felt it was very professional and the staff were all trained well. The treatments were done well. Apparently it’s owned by the club with Edsel Baldisimo- Spa service manager – who trained them for 6 months. Edsel is Filipino but worked in the Maldives for 8 years. I told him he did a good job!

Sunday Family lunch with the Santoses

The longest xmas is always at Dad and Mom’s ( Sept – January) Almost half the year! They are the earliest and the last to celebrate. Last January 14 was still xmas. Sunday family lunch for Taty’s bday with special guests Tito Butch and Tita Bing Bing, Tito Ochie and Tita Malyn @malynsantos Tita Chiqui and Mikko and Denise and kids Manang Corazon who was our cook since i was 5 years old ( she was 36 yrs old) but left 22 years after 🙁 Even James met her when he was still courting me and she cooked for him when he ate with us, she even gave him baon or when i wanted to send food to him in his house, she never complained. We all LOVE her because aside from cooking so well she never complained – she fed us with LOVE She is now 76 years old and thinner than how she was but still smiling and laughing. We are so happy she came to visit us yesterday during family lunch #h2hpeople #h2htribute #h2hchefs. Sweetie’s Bakeshop

We received a bundle of sweets from our super sweet friend who wants to remain anonymous 🙂 But truly she is the sweetest ! Always busy doing things for others ! I’m hoping she will sell her mocha cake too We had it for Sunday lunch and our favorites are the loaves – banana, butter and most especially the apple loaf and they are perfect for xmas gifts

As we welcome 2018, festivities continue on at Starbucks.

The coffee brand hypes up the celebration for its 20th anniversary, with decadent servings of flavor and a variety of exciting on the menu.

Starbucks is complementing its signature Espresso Roast with sophisticated flavors like salted caramel and Okinawa brown sugar, expertly crafted into an assortment of beverages.

Starting January 9, Starbucks mixes in one of Japan’s most popular culinary ingredients, the Okinawa Brown Sugar, to create Okinawa Brown Sugar Latté. The elegant drink highlights the hint of molasses found in the sugar and fuses in light caramel for a less sweet, coffee forward drink.

A returning favorite, the Salted Caramel Mocha Crumble, combines deep chocolate and espresso flavors with toffee nut syrup, layered with a delicious combination of whipped cream and caramel sauce. The beverage is topped with a blend of turbinado sugar and sea salt for a perfect sweet and savory taste.

The 20th Anniversary Bearista Bear wears the classic black apron with the 20th anniversary logo of Starbucks Philippines. The Bearista Bear also dons a Philippine Flag inspired Frappuccino® pin. On the other hand, the Bearista Bear Dog is all about the onset of the Lunar New Year.

Sol y Viento

Hot Spring Resort capital of the Philippines! Pansol, Laguna. Maybe there are a thousand already. This was just one area ! #pansol #h2honsen #h2hlaguna #itsmorefuninthephilippines

I stopped by on the way home to check out @solyvientohotelsandresorts recommended by my AC batchmate Ada @adadabadoo who lives in Laguna. It has a beautiful view and okay facilities but they are closed on week days which is the days i like to go so there’s not much people. These resorts ( pansol resorts ) are really used by groups for their family or barkada outing or company outing so they are geared for that market. They offer cabanas, tables etc and ofcourse rooms.

They have huts you can rent and these ones have a nice view of the forest
Sol y viento (9) I guess i am a different market, I just look for the hot spring and for the day. There are 2 hot spring pools here and they look ok.
