Courtenay Sohatee, International Retail Manager Wholesale Franchise and Nadia Colville, Wholesale Account Manager, showed us the Summer Collection of Kurt Geiger
Kurt Geiger unveils new Spring-Summer 2017 campaign featuring British supermodel, Edie Campbell.
The campaign shot in London, stars Edie as the heroine of Kurt Geiger’s fashion fairy-tale. When designing the new collection Rebecca Farrar-Hockley was inspired to look to the new year as a fresh start and see the world through rose coloured glasses and the lens of ‘love, magic and enchantment.’
“Excess is unapologetic in the form of crystal embellishment, exaggerated bows, an abundance of pearls and vintage-inspired hand sewn appliques. A tiny glitter bag in the shape of a heart can be worn as jewellery, with platform wedges so high your head will be in the clouds!” Rebecca Farrar-Hockley
Spring brings nature, which Rebecca chose to celebrate through pretty oriental prints, hand-sewn floral embellished appliques, whilst humming birds, eagles and swallow motifs adorn chain shoulder bags, backless slippers, luxe summer sliders and Kurt Geiger’s iconic fashion sneakers.

Fabrics are decadent with rich silk satin, Italian grosgrain, suede and soft calf leather. A pretty colour palette of English rose, rich berry, khaki and midnight blue clash against hot pinks and bright fuchsia. Blending casual with formal, the realms of day and eveningwear are distorted to create statement shoes designed to be cherished, but worn everyday.
“I had a lot of fun dressing up for this shoot and loved the statement pieces chosen by Rebecca. The collection is all about an element of surprise and an escape from the everyday – which seems to perfectly embody the new mood for Spring.” Edie Campbell

The Bahia Palace a big old house and a set of houses were collected and converted into palace in the late nineteenth century by the Moroccan architect El Mekki on behalf of the Grand Vizier Ba Ahmed ben Moussa said Hmad (1841-1900) . The best workmen and craftsmen of the country have worked continuously for six years (1894-1900).
The Bahia Palace is located in the medina of Marrakech along the northern edge of the district Mellah or Jewish quarter. Although the exact dates of the construction of the palace are unknown, the building was in use between 1859 and 1873 and was completed by 1900. The palace was built in two stages by two different men, a father and son who has served in grand viziers Alawite Cherifian. ( palaisbahia.com) #PalaisBahia#Marrakech #Morokrew

Koutoubia Mosque, or Mosque of the booksellers, was begun under the Berber dynasty of the Almoravids in 1120, but was substantially rebuilt from 1162 Almohad caliph under Abu Yusuf Yaqub al-Mansur, and became one of the most characteristic buildings this style. Its name comes from the fact that it was in the souk manuscripts merchants. It is organized on a plan T. This tradition has existed since the construction of the Great Mosque of Kairouan in the ninth century, and is also found in Spain. This is in fact an Arab plan hypostyle1, that is to say comprising a large courtyard surrounded by a portico and a prayer room with columns. The naves are perpendicular to the qibla wall, the central one being wider. ( koutoubia.com) #koutoubiamosque #Morokrew#Marrakech

It’s a bit dark compared to what we are used to – but truly a different experience while in Morocco #PalaisLamrani#Marrakech #Morocco #morokrew#riad #h2hinteriors

A riad has a courtyard in the middle of the house with 4 sides of garden around the fountain in the center
Palais Riad Lamrani @palais_lamrani is owned and operated by a French couple – Eric and Noemie Marie- Saint Germain. It’s a 14th Century riad of the Lamrani family. They bought it and refurbished it maintaining the details. Carmina @thecrazycook_ph told us that the owners welcomed them when they arrived that evening and made sure everything was alright – talk about personalized service – just like part of the family ! I met Eric as he was helping out that evening in the bar and in the reception #PalaisLamrani #Marrakech#riad #Morocco #morokrew #H2HPeople
