MENU EJECUTIBODE ALMUERZO/ Executive Lunch

There are 12 cuts of steak at La Cabrera. Each one caters to the different tastes of people – not everything is about marbling or fat. For those that like fat and marbling you will like the Rib Eye or Ojo de Bife.

Ojo de Bife Madurado 12 Dias ( 12 days wet aged).

New at La Cabrera (24)

If you are looking for lean ( yet tender) and go after flavor – I would suggest the Entrana – skirt steak  and the Cuadrille – couloirs/ Picana steak) which is one of their best sellers is tender and yummy. Then the Chorizo de Bife ( no photo) is in between the Skirt steak and Rib Eye in terms of fat and tenderness. Super love La Cabrera beef especially that it comes with hot and cold sides which really go so well with the steaks. YUM!

Super love sides – hot and cold – sweet and savory -at La Cabrera. And these all come unlimited and refillable together with the Grill menu. They used to have over 50 sides that they rotate but now they limited it to around 30. Still a lot!

About Areum

Rustan’s brings Areum to the Philippines to redefine timeless beauty–the Asian way.  A collection of luxurious products that should comprise the Asian woman’s beauty ritual is sophisticatedly bottled, locking in secrets to ageless skin.

Areum (8)

Areum Experience counter

Rustan’s and Areum go beyond ritual by opening a glamorous 5-star beauty counter for women for them to understand their skin better and see how Areum and its philosophy can bring out the best in their skin. The counter provides privileged and luxurious skincare consultation in a relaxed and hygienic environment, which allows one to escape from the daily stresses of life.

Areum like Villonco’s portraits go deep into the layers, peeling out the superficial and capturing only what is genuinely beautiful.

Areum Ritual

Areum (6)

Eight of the most admired women in society pose for photographer Monique Villonco’s sharp lenses in an exhibit aptly titled, Timeless Beauty. Candid, real, unembellished, these women radiate an elegance dramatically captured in black and white.

These women, too, illustrate the essence of Areum.  Korea’s high end skincare brand goes deep into its roots combining ancient traditional medicine with the benefits of Mother Nature to complement a beauty philosophy that promotes wellness and balanced energy from within. Areum knows these contribute to a healthy, luminous complexion.

Villonco, founder and former Editor in Chief of Town & Country magazine, expertly frames the nuances that reveal the different faces of timeless beauty—pure heart, grace, and elegance. All these qualities come through these women’s quiet smiles and refined gaze that say so much without uttering a word.  The results are natural portraits of beautiful women as seen through a woman’s eyes.

AÉROPOSTALE DEBUTS FUN AND COLORFUL APPAREL FOR ALL SEASONS

By | SSI Group Inc | No Comments

American-based brand Aéropostale ushers their latest collection with an assortment that carries the signature casual styles. Trend is fun, which includes street styles, bohemian designs, and bright colors for any given season. The clothing brand designed for young men and women pushes to combine and create personalized looks out of a thoughtful selection of basic and statement pieces.

AÉROPOSTALE DEBUTS FUN AND COLORFUL APPAREL FOR ALL SEASONS (1)

For the ladies, romantic rose prints and floral bouquets are in trend. Soft, delicate, and feminine but embodies the fun and playful chic style. It doesn’t hold back on the frills, lace, and ruffles and combines these with a show-stopping palette of bright colors and pretty pastels.

A constant array of colors consists of playful Bermuda pinks and sensible oatmeal heather greys with obvious pops of tropic elements for an easy and breezy look. The collection carries tulip print skater skirts and moto jackets any girl could wear out to a picnic or on casual outings, whether outdoors or indoors. Adorned with lace appliques and textured knits, pieces are laidback but still featuring a stylish edge. Floral printed roses and geometric shapes on rompers, tank tops, cardigans, and shorts complete these looks.

AÉROPOSTALE DEBUTS FUN AND COLORFUL APPAREL FOR ALL SEASONS (2)

Free-spirited and effortless festival pieces that require loads of layering, psychedelic paisley and patchwork prints, tie-dye shirts, and loose clothing are featured in this new collection. Faded pale colors combined with bright flowy and oversized clothing provide your ensemble with a defined character. Girls are encouraged to mix prints and patterns to their own delight, ready for festivals with their boho bucket bag on hand and faux leather sandals in tow.

Boys will rejoice in active-inspired pieces with a street-style flare in monochrome black and white pieces. A bolt of cobalt blue adds contrast to the sombre colors. The comfortable clothes are made out of technical fabrics like nylon and mesh for a more casual element.

AÉROPOSTALE DEBUTS FUN AND COLORFUL APPAREL FOR ALL SEASONS (3)

There are also styles inspired by the many shades of the sea, with navy blues, turquoise, sky blues, and royal blues delivering a coastal message. The pieces are made more nautical with Bretton strips. Cool, free, and fresh, the vibrant colors of Malibu beach are sprinkled into this collection of casual athletic wear. Perfect for the beach, woven shirts with geometric shapes and playful combinations allow looks for relaxing days off. Stripes and tropical prints are evident and play a role in creating diversity when mixing and matching. Denim pants in light washes are key to this collection and paired with striped and woven shirts over a lightly washed denim jacket.

In the Philippines, Aéropostale is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc., a member of SSI Group, Inc., and is located at Glorietta 2, Robinsons Magnolia, Shangri-La Plaza East Wing, Robinsons Manila Midtown Wing, SM Lanang Davao, Ayala Center Cebu, SM Megamall Mega Fashion Hall, Central Square Bonifacio Highstreet, Veranza Mall Gen.  I’m so proud – this is my friend – Carmina Mapa del Rosario – the Crazy Cook from Davao At the Mindanao Regional lunch at Madrid Fusion. With her famous Ikog/ Balbacua – a rich stew made from braised oxtails and shanks in ginger, ground peanuts, red peppers, and an assortment of spices and herbs from Davao del Sur and Davao Oriental. Super yum!!!! This is how she described it to me before – Balbacua-
“The story behind this dish comes from market vendors and butchers who would stew their unsold/leftover cuts and sell it as a soupy ‘ulam’ the following day. Raf and I love eating it so I thought of making this Southern Filipino dish richer and meatier by using imported oxtails and shanks. I braise it for 6-8 hours in ginger, ground peanuts, red peppers and an assortment of secret herbs and spices from Mindanao. I was a bit surprised because in the beginning it was my family who just kept on ordering. And then in the past 3 months more people tried it and it now has a following from Manila foodies.”

Check out Affiorato ( rising from the surface) La Premiere Huile from Spain by Oliviers & Co. This Extra virgin olive oil uses an ancient way of extracting extra virgin olive oil – They crush the olive a little and wait for the oil to rise. It is no longer being used as a technique because it’s labor intensive and it’s difficult to make a big batch. LUSH Sun Care Awareness Week 2015 (2)

This loose, light powder is so simple to use; just sprinkle onto your skin and let it protect you from the sun. This revolution in sun care is easy to carry around with you and very handy for topping up your sun protection throughout the day. With plenty of calamine powder – which is rich in the natural sunscreen zinc oxide – sesame oil, lemon, lime and patchouli oils for a fresh, earthy and citrusy fragrance.

LUSH Sun Care Awareness Week 2015 (1)

SPF 30 High

The Sunblock solid sunscreen wash

Shower on your sun care

A solid, wash-on sun protection with calamine powder, cocoa butter and rose absolute which calms and heals the skin, while leaving a floral scent on the skin. One third of this bar will be enough to protect your whole body, simply glide the bar over damp skin in the bath or shower, rinse off and gently pat your skin dry with a towel. This is made with three broad-spectrum sunscreens as well as soothing, nourishing ingredients to benefit your skin.

LUSH Sun Care Awareness Week 2015 (3)

Nutritious Ingredients

We’ve got thirty years of experience in using natural ingredients for their benefit to the skin. Because of our expertise, we have the confidence to be able to give our customers consultations about all of our skin care products. Our sun care range pioneers the use of sunscreens in cosmetics, and we’ve also found that nature is giving us the solutions. By mixing safe synthetic sunscreens with beneficial natural ingredients; not only is our sun care range full of beautiful and nourishing ingredients for your skin, but they will also help to protect you from the sun. Calamine powder is rich in zinc oxide, which is already used as a sunscreen in many cosmetic products, whilst ingredients like sesame oil and olibanum oil actually help boost the protective power of the three broad-spectrum sunscreens we use.

Non-Animal Tested

The synthetic sunscreens we have used have a long history of safe use and are industry standard. We know that the ones we use are safe in the quantities we’ve used them and all our products are tested on human volunteers at Cantor labs, New Jersey, USA. This is a non-animal testing lab run by vegetarian scientist Doctor Shyla Cantor. The SPF’s and UVAPF’s are determined by exposing a small patch of the person’s skin to broad-spectrum UV light whilst wearing the product. The results are measured and this then gives us the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) & the UVAPF.

Application

The recommended amount for you to use of each product is 2mg for every square centimetre of skin. This will ensure that you are covered and protected for two hours and that you are receiving the product’s full protective capacity. Re-application is really important, you must apply every two hours.

Sunscreens are a must if you want to protect your skin whilst you’re out in the sun. Everyone’s skin is different and paler skins are more sensitive to sunlight, so even if you’re wearing sunscreen you might still be susceptible to the damage that UVA and UVB rays can inflict on the skin. In order to stay safe, you just need to take some care and think about your skin. UV rays can be really harmful and sometimes the damage isn’t something you’ll notice straight away. It only takes a few simple precautions to enjoy the sun and keep your skin healthy and happy.
