Apparently the Pinoys in London also like chicken 🙂 particularly Nando’s. So we went to try it in the Westfield Mall
Grilling the chicken
The chicken was good 🙂 I guess what makes it different from the rest is the sauce. We can make good grilled chicken in the Philippines 🙂
Condiment stands all over the place with all the sauces to choose from
Sangria
I don’t normally eat chicken liver in big pieces, but this was so good!!!!

Everyone has their own ” BEST” fish and chips.
Jay Aldeguer – Poppies in Camden Town Market
Rajo Laurel – The Golden Union
We were not able to go to any of those! But we tried 3 kinds this trip and all good. I can’t say what’s best because each one has their own interpretation and execution.
This trip, I particularly liked the one in the Duke of York Square market because it was not too big, it was think and crispy and the chips were good and crispy. Problem here is the seating,

We had the one in the Borough Market. There are different kinds of fish to choose from unlike when we go to some restaurants, they serve just one kind, in London, there are many kinds to choose from!
There are already displayed ones, I personally prefer freshly made ones. Next time we should specify and hopefully they will accommodate
Big fish and chips 🙂 We tried two kinds, again I am sorry I did not take note 🙁

Suharto says this is the BEST in the Covent Garden area 🙂
This is what I mean! So many kinds of fish 🙂
You can sit outside, take it out or there is seating inside. Prices for dine in are higher than take out 🙂 For me dine in is the best because you get to eat it fresh and eat properly
Calamari
I am sorry but I did not keep track anymore of the kinds of fish but we tried 4 kinds
I had my cheese- Crispy Coated Camambert – of course yum! 🙂
Loved the sticky toffee pudding!!!! A must!!
We ordered Spotted Dick 🙂 because we were curious how it looked but we got the Jam Sponge instead! YUM!

I love love this place! The facade was under renovation hence the design tar outside. Fortnum and Mason is known as the store where the Queen shops and believe me you really feel like a Queen when shopping here 🙂 Ria and I went window shopping and enjoyed so much
It’s amazing how they take TEA so seriously here! Everywhere in London 🙂 In Fortnum there is a floor that is all tea!
Love the staircases here – there are several – on the sides and in the middle
Love the picnic hampers which they are known for. Bespoke hampers. There are several desks for customers to sit down with a personal shopper for them to order and select their personalised hampers. This reminds me of the Rustan’s Supermarket Christmas baskets that people buy by the hundreds and thousands during christmas.
More Tea things 🙂
Home accessories
Candles
Sterling silver tea accessories
Perfumery and toiletries department
Children’s
Hats and fascinators
Bags and jewellery
Then we went down to the basement for flowers and food and wine

So nice to be back at Covent Garden
I told myself before I came to London that I am not going to Shake Shack in London! I try to save my meals for unique London places but since we were in the area and had to have a quick lunch, we decided to go 🙂 Don’t get me wrong, I love Shake Shack but in London I would rather have Fish and Chips 🙂
There’s a line outside but it moves fast
They have a small indoor seating and plenty outdoor seating and it’s full!
For four 🙂
Vegetarian Shroom burger for me 🙂 This is a burger I can actually finish

Welcome to Motcombs Town House 🙂 Located in one of the most prestigious areas in London, Belgravia
Meet my beautiful friend, Darcy who manages this place. I love her 🙂 So nice, so funny, so lively and bubbly!!! So happy to see her. I have not seen her in 20 years. She’s been living in London for 24 years and recently just got her residency! 🙂
She has hosted many VIPs like Margaret Thatcher, Sarah Ferguson who has her annual reunion, Duke of York, Gavin Rossdale and wife Gwen Stefani, Roger Federer, Tom Jones, Kurt Russel, Goldie Hawn, Penelope Cruz, Rod Stewart and Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson and many many more!
Just like a British home, this has 4 levels. They converted the house into an events venue for small private functions or events.
The first level which can be a reception area or it can be an event for cocktails
The owner loves art so the place has many beautiful artworks. Darcy loves them too! 🙂
Horse 1984 pencil by Elisabeth Frink ( 1930 – 1993 )
Tamara Limpika – Darcy says its her in the painting 🙂
David Hockney
The kitchen
20 years ago we were in this same room in Motcombs Townhouse celebrating the Despedida de Soltera of our friend, Rina. It’s truly a beautiful venue. The room is called the Robert Sangster Room, named after the racehorse thoroughbred owner and breeder
We attended an Ayala Land Premier event 🙂 This was on the 3rd level
Darcy’s office. Do give Darcy a call if you have any events in London and she will definitely take care of you!

It was so nice to meet some lovely Filipina ladies in London. I admire these ladies because I personally think that you have to be very strong and be really independent to move away from your comfort zone and live far from home to be with your spouse. They each have their stories to tell and believe me they are really really very strong women. It was a pleasure to meet them and enjoyed being with all of these beautiful ladies. I wish we had more time
I am so glad they all posed for me with my special request to include their handbags 🙂 TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCE? 🙂 I heard the ladies joking among themselves – that meaning Genuine or Copy ? 🙂
Cha Completo Turner- Very British with a Burberry bag
I was so happy to know that Cha is a regular reader of Heart2Heart. Thank you Cha. Cha is married to a British gentleman and has one son. She’s a very good source of places to go to in London, so I will be asking her a lot of tips on my next trip back there
Fled Huab with a Moschino bag. Very practical because she said its easier to clean with the charol/patent leather fabric
So so nice this lady! She is apparently the daughter of my high school teacher Mrs. Huab! And she is also the cousin of my good friend, Arlene! Fled used to live in Hong Kong when she married a German gentleman and from HK, they moved to London in 2005. She has two very intelligent sons studying at Winchester College and Eton 🙂 This lady is amazing and I am so happy to have met her and I learned a lot from her from just one evening
Meg Nolasco Brewer with a Chanel bag. TRUTH!!! 🙂
Mitos Ocaba Foster- Tods
Very tall and pretty and married to a very successful British man but accredits his success because of her! haha!! I love it! 🙂 I did not get to talk much with Mitos but in the little that she said, she is also one tough lady and I am happy that we have strong women like her
We were talking about her children – she has a son and a daughter and they were telling me about her daughter who is just as pretty as her Mom with modelling potentials but was advised to finish her studies first 🙂 Sharing this photo from Darcy! 🙂
James’ Cebuana cousin Marichelle Veloso Waring A very good friend of our friend, Rina.
And my very elegant friend, Rina – Prada- Always TRUTH! 🙂
She’s not married to a Brit but to a Pinoy 🙂 And they have been living in London for 20 years
And of course Darcy – with the Prada bag of Rina haha!! 🙂
She is not married yet
but she has her “sweet caramel” 🙂 which I met through her phone 🙂
