Visiting Sister May

By | For kids, Giving Back | 2 Comments

I am so happy to visit Sister May.

Previous entry:  Meeting Sister May May 25, 2012

This time in her new home in Don Bosco Village Betterliving Subdivision

Wow!! Its a compound with three homes!!! Sister is so lucky she has generous benefactors from Italy

Love her hanging vines

The first home is Sister’s home with two other sisters

There is a prayer room

And as  you go up there is a stained glass window 🙂

The next house is like a guest house for visiting friends from Italy.  Sister has so many things in her house!! So many friends donate their things to sister and she keeps them all

One of the rooms was being used by Simone Rota, one of the Azkals who plays in Milan.  Sister took care of him since he was a kid.  At the time I visited he was staying with sister but was out for awhile playing in Malaysia.  Sister is star studded 🙂

This is one of the rooms in the house – How beautiful the window 🙂  The house is very very clean and tidy

The third house is where they have a small office and where sister houses 14 kids

Sister has a mini sewing factory in the house 🙂  She is so enterprising she makes and sells things which the Italians buy from her and sell in Italy

This bracelet is made out of retazos from fabrics and she sells them for P 5.00! 🙂

Social workers helping sister – Beverly Sedo and Clarissa Tadios

I am telling you , Sister May is amazing! She even has a mini bakery!  They have fresh pandesal every day!!!  She has to feed everyone in the house.  Take note of the photo below where she has an old style kitchen where she uses wood to cook!!  To save on electricity and gas, she just uses wood.  Sister has feeding every Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Camelia Creek for 150 children and every saturday in her house.

Alessandro and his wife Patricia were visiting at that time and they were here to pick up their adopted child, Antonio who is now 6 years old.  Antonio was one day old when he was found in a billiard hall in Cavite City

Many things going on in Sister’s house!  There is a guy there building a bahay kubo! 🙂

We delivered some ice cream for Sister and for the kids 🙂  Thank you Selecta!

Meet Joshua 18 years old.  He is studying to be a pilot.  He is on his second year in PATS and is taking a 4 year course.  After which he has to do 220 hours of flying for him to be able to be a pilot.  Sister already has one child who is now a pilot for Cebu Pacific

Segragating when Unpacking

By | Green, Household Tips, Travel | No Comments

I love segregating 🙂 It really helps make things easier and more organised.  Even for the staff who will be the one to help pack them away

Previous entry:  Christmas Segragation December 5, 2013

When we arrive from a trip, the household staff know and they already prepare all these plastic bins.  I love them.  I bought them in Shopwise for  3 pcs. for P 99.00!!!  I have around 10 sets so maybe 30 pcs. of these and we use them around in the house for a lot of things.  One of them is this!

When I unpack, each and every item that comes out has a basket to go to:

1.)  For laundry  2.)  To return to the closets  3.)  For pasalubongs  4.)  For the office  5.)  Bilins  6.)  My personal stuff that I will pack away myself   7.)  For hubby  8.) For kids  9.)  for Kitchen

It makes all our lives so much easier 🙂

Last month I saw the same laundry baskets in Shopwise at Buy One Take one which is close to the using price I bought them at but I like to have the same colour in black – so once in awhile they have these promos and I love them!!  I like them also because when storing it is very easy you just stack them and they don’t take much space
