I attended a workshop of Rustan’s for La Prairie Organized by the beautiful ladies of the Cosmetics and Toiletries division of Rustan’s – JC Festin and Cessie Colayco. My Lola made sure that all the managers of Rustan’s were all pretty and presentable to represent the store and for the Cosmetics Division they have to be pretty and have beautiful skin 🙂 Until now that standard is kept Debra Klaproth from La Prairie flew over to conduct the workshop In one of our velada meetings, my good friend, Bambee, introduced me to her Hurom juicer. She claims that it’s the best juicer in town! and probably the most expensive too! 🙂 It’s available in Rustan’s department store! She made one of her juice recipes for us And here she is about to dunk the first cucumber and very happy to serve us healthy drinks 🙂 It separates the pulp from the juice The pulp she says she still uses them by making them into cakes or other pastries Yummy! My friend, Bambi, always invites me and she makes sure she invites me way way in advance that sometimes I actually forget to put it in my calendar. Yet I know she will not take it against me because she is my true friend 🙂 My hijado Osquito ( named after grandpa Oscar ) was celebrating his first birthday so Mommy Bambi prepared a feast for the family. She cooked everything ( except the arroz caldo and lechon) Turkey! One of her specialties, lengua! Wow, this was wiped out the first! She sent this to us for Christmas too and was much appreciated Paella This was the only thing she did not make Oh plus the lechon which flew in from Bacolod – and she made sure we got first and served us the skin. Oh boy 🙂 Kiddie Spaghetti which I liked Bambi made these chocolate lollipops for the kids Bambi’s eldest son, Gigz, with Osquito my cute hijado! I told her that Gigz is very handsome and is a Gary V in the making 🙂 And true enough she told me that he has been asked already to join showbiz! 🙂 Cakes cakes cakes! There always has to be a chocolate one! Celebrating with cousins 🙂 Bambi introduced me to Migs Villlanueva who is an artist – I took her photo beside her painting 🙂 She also gifted Osquito for Christmas with a handpainted bag with his portrait on it. My good friend, Michele, invited me over to her house to meet her new baby – Booboo! And meet these two ladies who will demonstrate to her how to use her new cookware set from Saladmaster. She had invested and purchased them long ago and had forgotten how to use them so she requested for training again from Lance Lee and Aims Lao They were going to teach us how to cook healthy using Saladmaster Aims is the Champion seller of Saladmaster products for several years already They cooked several recipes Chinese rice- They just mixed everything into this and put a timer on it And here it is all cooked and ready They cooked sinigang without water! They just put everything into the pot And here it is – they did not use any sinigang powder mix, instead they just added calamansi Everyone was so impressed! 🙂 Reshma and Ranju! Baked Macaroni – They put the onion and garlic without any oil And then added everything else and put it all in this pot including the noodles – they put a timer on it And here it is. They did not have to cook the noodles separately – they made this all in one cookware – all you need to do is add cheese on top Pineapple Turnover Other impressed guests of Michele – Sister, Joanna and Johnyan Apparently this is the BEST cookware since it is made out of Titanium Stainless steel. They are made in the USA and are available in 62 countries. I am going to start saving so I can buy myself these…….. or maybe I will just go to Michele’s house and cook there in her beautiful kitchen They even did a test to show how the other cookwares emits substances to your food when you cook on them And the last demo was the use of the Saladmaster itself. The brand was named after this gadget which can slice and shred anything – we were so impressed!! If you are interested in seeing a demo on these products, call Aimee and she will gladly come over to your house to demonstrate and show their products to you. It’s really amazing!!
