As soon as we arrived in Bangkok, Mom and I went to Chatuchak Market. Â We arrived Sunday noon time so we did not want to miss the weekend market. Â I was feeling bad I missed the Chiang Mai Saturday market and felt I could have bought more things there than here and at more reasonable prices. Â Here are some shots I took Â
I love these lights 🙂
for my dad, I know he likes these things
Mom and I were wondering if this was the real saffron- it was very cheap so maybe not 🙂
In the art section- cute these miniature paintings
Mom and I had not eaten lunch since we arrived and we were getting dizzy at around 3pm so we went to one of the stalls and we had Thai iced tea, Pad thai and Mango sticky rice! Â Very good!!!!
There is a new place called Asiatique and it had just opened – Just take the MTS to Sathorn- then you will see free boat rides going to Asiatique- It opens at 5pm til midnight
The place is so alive with so many people, many shops and many restaurants! Â They had similar shopping stalls as Chatuchak though I liked the ambience here better

Carmelita Osmeña de Jesus
July 3, 1933 – January 28, 2007
Mom has lived a full and gracious life. She made sure she prepared herself and accepted God’s will for her.
Though we prayed and wished we could still spend more time with her, we also prayed to stop Mom’s pain and not to let her suffer. God has truly blessed Mom.
When I started going out with James in 1986, Mom immediately treated me as part of the family.
Nana took very good care of Jaime and Javier. We all love her very much and we will miss her! But we are happy that she is now in a better place.
