While we were driving on the way to Techno hub, we saw this hotel! We had also heard about it from Vicky Tinio as she mentioned their restaurant as a recommendation. They had recently opened in February 2012.
The restaurant is right by the lobby as you enter
And continues out till the back with nice view of the Le Monet gardens

Menu of the restaurant
They have a counter deli by the restaurant

Near the longganisa place, we saw this couple selling LIVE FROGS!!! GOSH!
I told him to smile for me 🙂
And small crabs!! My Mom told me that her Dad used to buy that for them and he would squeeze the talangka ( crab fat ) out and put it directly on garlic rice or plain rice! Hmmmm… sounded so good!! I told Mom to make me try it!!
When it got home, the cook cooked it in the pan!!! OH NO!! She said there were some that were not alive anymore so she cooked it!
Vicky told us that you have to soak them fresh in vinegar and then squeeze them. We skipped the soaking part and the cook just cooked them and squeezed them. The crab fat came out still and it actually tasted YUMMY! I just added salt and pepper
It takes a lot of crabs to get talangka!

My Mom and I went to the Baguio market – this is like a ritual everytime we are in Baguio. It’s amazing how I am always here but everytime I visit, I discover a new place there. This time she took me to the Longganisa place. WOW!!!! It’s a sight to see but I do not know if I would really buy anything from here since I do not know who they are, where they make it and what it is made of 🙁
The names sound so yummy!!!
This vendor claimed they were the ones supplying the famous Baguio Country Club longganisa – so mom bought some and we tried it and it did not taste good 🙁 The smell was really bad while cooking which is why I would refrain from buying in this section

Vicky also shared with us her source for fresh oysters from Dagupan! It is in the Baguio market where the fresh seafoods are. It is across Dane’s bakery
WOW!!!! HOW CHEAP!!! 🙂
Here is Nora!!! Vicky calls her Oysters Nora 🙂 so that is the name I put in my phone. Cellphone # (0908)-177-2015
She will clean it for you
I bought 3 kilos and brought it for lunch. Mom and Tita Reggie prepared it. Here are instructions from Tita Reg on how to prepare
Pour boiled water over them to quickly blanch them and kill any bacteria if you are not sure of their freshness. Otherwise when you open them and they have a clean fresh salty aroma you should be able to eat them raw with lemon or vinegar bath.

The kids attacked it again!

A MUST for the family everytime we are in Baguio!
We chose to celebrate Dad and Mom’s 45th anniversary here! Of course because it had to be special
Scrambling over the appetizers! Everyone was hungry 🙂

Oysters were wiped out so fast! Fresh from the market
Parmesan Lollipop with Marshmallow and Rosemary! What an invention! we loved this! I saw it in the kitchen before cooking
We loved the Brie Cream sauce which came with the beef! Vicky gave us more!! and she even taught Chef Javier how to make it

and what cheese to use! Chef Vicky always shares her recipes and ingredients
Kids Menu
Cheers!!

This is a delayed post as Dad and Mom’s anniversary was last July 19. Better late than never 🙂 This is such a great milestone in their lives to reach 45 years of marriage!! Truly an achievement! We celebrated it in Baguio! and this arrived!!!
It was from Dad! Dad is the sweetest!! 🙂
My sister’s gift 🙂

with their photo!! How stylish my Dad and Mom!!!
Happy Anniversary!! I would like to share a note from a classmate of Dad which I felt he was right on target!
I was just talking to a friend recently that people should give more priority to relationships in life rather than to work or material gifts. I have to remind that friend of mine, though, that there are persons who are able to do both successfully. And I can cite you and Menchu as a good example. Please continue to be a model couple who values a happy marriage. God bless!
