While in Sotogrande we snuck in a super short visit to Gibraltar (20-30 mins away) which we always see and take photos with. This time we wanted to see it but due to time constraints we had only 30 mins inside to visit so we literally just took the red double deck London bus to the city center, walked their high street and then went back. Good thing we had a UK visa to enter. It is duty free in Gibraltar and you can bring it back to Spain “Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain’s south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Our best meals are at home – homecooked meals by Susan ( 10 yrs with Lolo and before that was hired as a yaya but learned thru the years to cook – yum) Delicious seafood soup, paella, Patatas bravas, berenhenas. Sylvia the cleaning lady cooks yummy callos, Josie cooks anything and Resty ( caretaker and driver for 36 years with Lolo) our griller for chuletitas and secreto iberico.
