Inside A Chef’s Life

By | Hot Off the Press, Recipes | 2 Comments

Chef Javs ( my son ), always tells me about Chef Bruce because he watches his cooking show on TV.  So I was ecstatic when I found out that Chef Bruce has a cookbook!  A perfect recipe book that Javier will love!    I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Bruce at the launch of his cookbook at his restaurant Chef’s Table

Oh my gosh! Nora Daza!!!  Her cookbook was the first cookbook I ever used when I was a kid.  Maybe around 10 years old I was baking and cooking and my favorite was her Lenguas de Gato in her first ever cookbook which I still have til now.

Bulalo and Tawilis

I don’t mind going to Batangas for 2 1/2 hours because we can always break the trip and have a good excuse to stop by Tagaytay 🙂  We looked for the restaurant which we heard about from Gaita and so glad we found it!

This is the main counter where you can also order and they have a few dining tables here

Modes of Transportation

By | Photography, Travel | No Comments

When I am on a road trip beside the driver’s seat, I tend to notice a lot more things  on the road 🙂  On the way and back to Pico De Loro, I specifically noticed different ways on how people transport themselves!  Quite interesting how many kinds I saw in just one trip

mode-of-transpo-01.JPG

Of course the beautiful scenery is something you can’t get in the city and I just love it!

mode-of-transpo-04.JPG

Oops!! This guy looks familiar!

mode-of-transpo-02.JPG

It’s David Almendral! Going uphill take note! 🙂

mode-of-transpo-03.JPG

This guy was in front of us and didn’t even move! 🙂  we had to use the other lane to overtake.  Transporting via carabao! 🙂

mode-of-transpo-05.JPG

Oh my gosh!  A jeep with people even on the roof and on the sides!

mode-of-transpo-07.JPG

And they were waving at me!  haha!!

mode-of-transpo-06.JPG

Of course there is always walking

mode-of-transpo-08.JPG

by motorcycle

mode-of-transpo-09.JPGmode-of-transpo-010.JPG

by threes?

More motorcycles but in a big group one after the other -A Sunday ride 🙂

By tricycle

By bicycle

And wow, this truck had like 30 people in the back, i was not able to take it as we were both moving and it was quite fast

Hamilo Coast consists of 13 coves which is owned by SM Investment Corp

pico-de-loro-01.JPG

Pico De Loro is only one of the coves and the first that they have developed

Or you can arrive by helicopter 🙂

pico-de-loro-02.JPG

Run by Senior Vice President, Rona Torres- Tan,  Marketing Consultant, Rea Gomez-Harrow and AVP of Customer Service, Marga Reyes.  A great team!  And James and I really noticed the friendly staff and great customer service.

dsc_9554.jpg

Come now while it is relatively new and not so many people know about it yet so you can have the beach all to yourself 🙂

Rea best described it as Nasugbu’s BEST KEPT SECRET!

pico-de-loro-cove-brochure-copy-1.jpgpico-de-loro-map.jpg

They have developed 8 condominium towers and have sold around 80% of the units already.  You need to be a unit owner or a member of the club to be able to come inside Pico De Loro and use the facilities

pico-de-loro-05.JPGpico-de-loro-06.JPG

There is the country club

Pico Sands Hotel at Pico de Loro at Hamilo Coast

By | Accomodations, Travel | 5 Comments

We arrived Saturday afternoon at our home in Pico De Loro.  Pico de Loro is only for members and guests of members.  So for those members or those who own a condo unit, they can invite their guests to stay at the Pico Sands Hotel.  It is very new and opened only 2 months ago.

pico-sands-hotel-010.jpeg

Rea Gomez Harrow who is a Consultant for Hamilo Coast was there to meet us with the Resident Manager, Aris Alcuaz.  Thank you for a wonderful stay!! I wish we could have stayed longer 🙂

pico-sands-hotel-01.jpegpico-sands-hotel-012.jpegpico-sands-hotel-011.jpegpico-sands-hotel-013.jpeg

My favorite part of the hotel 🙂

pico-sands-hotel-014.jpeg

Many works of art around the hotel, this is my favorite one which goes from the ground floor all the way to the top

pico-sands-hotel-015.jpegpico-sands-hotel-08.jpeg

We stayed in the Penthouse Loft!

pico-sands-hotel-09.jpeg

It’s the only room with a reception area/living room.  It can be turned into a room since the sofa is a pullout bed
