I thought this was a very unique offering from my batchmate Bunny:

Better that parents form a group so it’s ‘playgroup’ and then a time schedule can be arranged to have it either at their place or at a studio that I can rent in Makati.

Beautiful simple clothing designed to move with real life, Eileen Fisher is more than a brand. Eileen Fisher is a culture and an ethos born of passionate individuals who work, using good design to inspire creativity, cultivating connection and instilling confidence. By reflecting these values in their craft, clothing, workspace and interaction, Eileen Fisher celebrates vital dynamic between one and many.
Great design is at the heart of EILEEN FISHER. It is an idea brought to life through clean lines, simple shapes and sensual fabrics. It strives to balance the timeless with the modern, function with beauty. It is an organic system, always evolving, changing, building upon what’s come before. Great design is clothing in context, made to fit both our bodies and our lives. It is a dialogue between seasonal perspectives and enduring ideals.
At EILEEN FISHER, this conversation around great design begins with our shared Design Values – Simple, Sensual, Beautiful, Timeless and Functional. Their Design Principles are: Simplicity, Beauty, Comfort, Ease, Function, Versatility. These values form the foundation of our aesthetic; they are what we aspire to achieve within every product we craft. Our Design Values are our creative anchors, grounding us in the essentials of EILEEN FISHER design. They provide us with a shared language from which new ideas and fresh interpretations can emerge each season. They are where we started and where we will always start again.
We inspire creativity. At EILEEN FISHER, creativity is as integral to soulful living as eating well and laughing like hell. Think of it as the wet chemistry of our collective energy, ideas and dialogue, enlivening and nourishing us in the day-to-day. Abandoning ourselves to the spirit of creative play, we encourage surprise and discovery, courage and vision, instinct and intuition. These are our guides as we seek and explore new opportunities for growth and connection, learning about ourselves by leaping together into the unknown and translating the beauty of the unexpected into artful expression.
We instill confidence. At EILEEN FISHER, we begin by honoring our voices, letting each ring out as valid and valued. In supporting and nurturing each other, we find our individual strengths and learn how to enhance them.
We bring a similar love of self-expression to our customers, instilling confidence through the beauty and performance of great design much like an ergonomic chair or a well-formed utensil. Adaptable and interchangeable, our clothing prevails with the very grace we all aspire to, at once yielding and steadfast. As such, a beautiful dynamic emerges between the adorned and the adornment, each benefiting from the nuanced qualities of the other.
We cultivate connection. At EILEEN FISHER, we thrive on connection, best knowing our selves through knowing others and the stories, facets and intricacies they embody. We each listen, seeking to be surprised by what we don’t know, delighted by silence and inspired to reach beyond the shadows we cast. From our nearest whispers to our most distant touches, we demonstrate singular action and collective impact, and bear the essence of EILEEN FISHER, a woman and a community.
Eileen’s goal is to live simply. That includes getting dressed! “I’m a mother, a clothing designer, and a businesswoman,” says Eileen, “My wardrobe meets my varying needs. The idea is, you just put your clothes on and go. You don’t have to fuss. You don’t think about them all day, you’re just ready to … do what you need to do.”
Eileen didn’t start out as a clothing designer – she began her work life as an interior designer. Getting dressed for work each day took so much effort! She thought about the uniform she had worn throughout high school- and it became the seed of a vision. “The company really started when I began seeing all these little pictures in my mind, these garments and how they all would go together. It was a vision of simplicity.”
In 1984, with $350 in the bank, she designed and introduced four basic pieces at the boutique show in New York City, where she received $3000 in orders. At her second show, 3 months later, she expanded the line to eight pieces- and brought in $40,000 in orders. Eileen Fisher Inc was born.
The original concept- high quality, simple, comfortable women’s clothing that works as a “Wardrobing concept” – still defines the evolving line that now fills 50 Eileen Fisher stores and is sold in Department and Specialty stores across the U.S and Canada.
Eileen was born and raised in Des Plaines, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. She moved to New York in 1973, working first as an interior designer and then as a graphic artist until 1983. She founded her company in 1984 with clothing that filled a void in the market. As one customer put it “What I love most about Eileen Fisher Clothes is they allow me to be myself.”
Eileen Fisher is exclusively distributed by Rustan’s Commercial Corporation and can be found at Rustan’s Department Store in Makati.
Happy Birthday to our youngest brother and our youngest niece both born on the same date! 🙂

Many have been noticing that I hardly bring my gigantic D300 camera with me anymore.
I had no choice because my right arm finally gave in and started hurting from all the picture taking that I have been doing. Thanks to my friend ( Dr. Mig Feb. 15, 2010 ) it is back to normal but I need to avoid getting hurt again so I use my smaller camera most of the time.
And that was when I was hoping I could find a small camera that I could use and that will be able to take nice photos for Heart2Heart!! Thanks to my family for giving me the S90 which has really helped me a lot and hopefully will not get my arm injured again 🙂 It is so light to carry around and it takes great photos !

IMAGINEER
The world of imagination takes off, developing a surreal mood influenced by the universe of dreams, in a metamorphosis between past and present.
The Imagineer woman is whimsical yet sophisticated, a woman who likes to have fun with retro-futuristic combinations, matching a touch of 80’s style with a modern twist for a Pop, cheerful and colourful look. The dazzling colours contrast, characteristic of a bright summer style, start from a dusty light palette with vetiver and white tones, to tap the vibrant colours of plants, such as mimosa yellow, patchouli orange and red cherry, with a fluorescent touch, hot and cold at the same time. The materials play on daring prints, such as coral python and striped straw, with small funky details such as creative pockets and zips, to provide the active woman a practical yet stylish fashion accessory.
Colours: mimosa yellow, patchouli orange, red cherry, vetiver, white, onyx.

Furla footwear collection revels in peppy contrasts and eye-catching colours
A collection of unprecedented contrasts and clever graphic designs, and as ever, the epitome of youthful elegance and sophistication. The Max Kibardin Spring-Summer 2010 footwear collection is a further case of the contemporary classic style that Furla has always embraced and updated continuously with innovative new takes on style and design.
Studs are added where embroidered decorations might have gone, and the recurring geometrically-cut bows create an elegant futuristic feel. Kibardin’s shoes are extremely feminine and reveal a myriad of colours and interesting combinations of materials in the same shoe.
The collection features soft nappa, patent leather or suede pumps made using the slip-lasting technique; ultra-flat “Capri” sandals and unlined boots in light suede and perforated nappa; and statement, engineered heels presenting a new take on low-cut courts. Among the real showstoppers, however, are the coloured rubber pumps and flip flops featuring mini-studs and python inserts.
In the Philippines, Furla is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, and Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
