Hope Bags

Thanks to my friend, Michele, for these hope bags! Not only are the bags very useful……… but they are meaningful as well as they bring HOPE to children’s education, the environment and building homes!

I have a collection of these type of bags because I always find use for them. This is another version.

It comes in a strawberry shaped pouch….

and when you open it, it becomes a reusable bag! It is so useful and so easy to put inside your bag and when you need it, just pop it out of your bag and open! And when you are finished using it, just pop it back into the pouch 🙂

Tub it, Bag it, Take it Home!

Take home a quart of Golden Spoon frozen yogurt. You can put up to 4 flavors in a quart. There is an insulated bag for only P 195.00 which comes with ice to keep it frozen till you get home or to your party! Put it in the freezer as soon as you get to your destination and do not forget to thaw it for around five minutes before serving so you can still have your creamy yogurt at home or at your party! YUMMY!!! I LOVE GOLDEN SPOON!!!

Total Therapy

I discovered a new Spa service which I definitely will use. One of the owners, Toni, is a Heart2Heart reader and she emailed me informing me of their services. I immediately called them up to try them because they had many items in their menu that I could not find anywhere else. I had their Signature Massage and I really liked it. I will definitely try the other items on the menu and looking forward to my next session.

Total Therapy opened in the beginning of 2009 exclusively offering services in QC and Ortigas. As requests for treatments outside those areas grew, Total Therapy expanded its operations to cover Greenhills and Mandaluyong in September. Today, Total Therapy’s luxurious treatments are finally available in Makati!

All therapists are required to undergo rigorous training which ensures that each therapist consistently provides high quality treatments. With each Total Therapy visit, one can expect to be pampered with organic oils, lotions & scrubs, and the option of having relaxing spa music and fresh towels to complete the home spa experience.

Bob’s

We have been exploring the Magallanes Gateway area since Golden Spoon opened ( Golden Spoon USA Now in the Philippines November 11, 2009). We stumbled into this restaurant. Dad knows about it because it is from his hometown. It is really good Filipino food…. Not fusion but just yummy, regular Filipino food!

I forgot the name of this burger but it was really good! The sauce was good and I love the onion rings inside 🙂

This was a hit among us – it is one big piece per order. YUMMY!!! A MUST TRY!

Sizzling Bangus – I did not get to try this but it looks so good

Lechon Macao- of course YUMMY!!!

Morisqueta Tostada – Dad says this is very “Bacolod” and really good…it is a sticky type of rice

We could not help but order this very attractive pavlova! YUMMY! It is the soft type though which is different from the crunchy pavlova

I am going to try this one next time!!

Gift from Leslie’s Clover Chips

Every year, we look forward to receiving our gift from Bobby and Birang! We know it is always something from their factory and each year it is packaged differently or the contents change. Though our family loves Leslie’s products and we buy them regularly, nothing tastes better when it is given to you 🙂 and when it is from the owner themselves. My Grandmother always told us to patronize our own and to give gifts from our company…and Bobby and Birang does the same always!

This year, I found the packaging really amusing! Even my kids were wondering how they did it…. It is 3 large packs of Clover Chips UNCUT so it is one long packaging full of clover chips! The machine did not cut it..instead it came out as one long Clover chips bag!!! We are all amused with it, we do not want to open it and eat it 🙂 Heart2Heart loves Leslie’s Clover chips! Thanks Bobby and Birang!

Dell’s Food Hall

Heart2Heart loves featuring success stories and people who work hard! We all know that it is not easy to start a business, run it and make it successful in this very very competitive world.

I was very happy to visit my Assumption highschool batchmate, Karla Siopongco-Campos at her foodhall and was amazed at what she has accomplished since then. I call her the CAFETERIA QUEEN! 🙂

Dell is the Mom of Karla and she told me that when we were in highschool, her Mom was running 20 cafeterias and she would even pull out Karla from school when she needed an extra hand in the business. So at an early age, Karla was already exposed to the cafeteria industry. It was only when her Mom was not physically well that she was sent back from the States to come to the Philippines and her mission was to close the business. So from twenty locations, she was left with one. And from that one, she bought the business from her Mom and then now grew it to 11 successful locations! WOW!

Aside from all the wide variety of food that is already out….. There are a few dishes you can still order like the sizzlers and the All Day Breakfast. Dell’s is open 24 hours to cater to the call centers.

Karla made me try her food and it was really good. It is really value for money which is why many, many people come over on a regular basis to have their meals at Dell’s.

Aside from the great lunch, was the great company and I enjoyed getting to know Karla more. Though she was my batchmate, I only got to know her recently as our kids go to the same school. I like her very much! and enjoy her!

Heart2Heart is very very proud of Karla for what she has achieved and the success she is enjoying. Thank you Karla for sharing your story with Heart2Heart and more power to you! You are an inspiration!
