Bistro Filipino by Chef Laudico

By | Foodie | 5 Comments

Finally we pushed through with our get together with Rachelle!  She has been telling me to try Bistro Filipino and finally we went together with Eds two saturdays ago.  They now have a Brunch promo during the weekends and it was perfect for us.  We started at 10am and finished at 1pm.  It was a pleasant type of All You Can Eat – they serve it as you order, unlike in buffets where the food is all there and you have to keep standing up to get.  This style is much better and the food is made fresh as you order. We get to chat and take our time eating.  The portions are perfect and gives you a chance to try as many dishes as you can finish.    We ENJOYED tremendously!!

Heart2Heart supports anything Filipino and is ecstatic when we patronize our very own.  Thanks to Chef Laudico and his wife Jackie for promoting our very own and bringing out the best in our cuisine! The beautiful Filipino inspired interiors of the restaurant were done by Chef Roland Laudico’s mom,  Yola Johnson.

Flourless Cookies

By | Great Inventions, Yummy! | One Comment

I was shopping in Shopwise Pasong Tamo and I bumped into my friend, Josie! ( Josie – October 7, 2008 )

I was so happy to see her!  And as usual, she is always so excited to share her pastry creations with me!  She disappeared and came back with this!  She said that she had a customer who told her to make a healthy cookie without using flour.  So, Josie had to  research among her recipes and she experimented with her oatmeal cookie – and she made it flourless.  She said this is made with oatmeal, cornflakes, dates and walnuts.   IT IS SO YUMMY!!!! TRY THEM!! And if you pass by to get some, have some of the other yummy food from her place and then go shopping in Shopwise after!  🙂

Mercy Tuason

By | Hot Off the Press, Tributes | 2 Comments

This is the second “Mercy”( Itayo Natin and Ating Bandila June 16, 2009 )  personality featured here at Heart2Heart!  Both women who inspire! While at my good friend Rina’s place, I saw a magazine on her coffeetable and I thought I saw Audrey Hepburn..but as I read the cover- it said Mercy Tuason. I had met Tita Mercy on a few occassions through Rina.  I had the opportunity to join one of her prayer sessions and mass which she hosts in her beautiful home.  Rina brought me along with her.  All her lady friends come over and pray together and hear mass.  She has recently been appointed as envoy to the Vatican.  My Grandfather was once the Ambassador to the Vatican as well.  Congratulations Tita Mercy!

I love how Lifestyle Asia did the article and photos of Tita Mercy.  Try to grab a copy of their July issue to read more
