For the past 3 years, we have been invited to the birthday of Tito Totoy. This year was his 75th birthday!
His children plan an evening to celebrate his special day with his family and close friends. We are deeply honored to always be part of their family gatherings.
Happy 75th Birthday Tito Totoy!
The celebration started with the Holy Mass….
And right after, Tito Totoy said he wanted to eat since he was hungry already 🙂 The dinner was really good!
And every year, I look forward to seeing the cake that Soraya makes for her dad. It is a labor of love as she bakes it herself. We made sure we got a piece of the cake and it was really YUMMY! The whole cake was real cake! We even took home some 🙂 Soraya studied in Switzerland and she makes many delicious pastries and cakes.
And of course, the grandkids are always present….
That is Soraya’s son, Junior, eating his Mom’s cake!
The night ended with a surprise program by comedian Mitch Valdes. We all had a good laugh!

Powerplant Mall will be having the Baker’s Dozen at Power Plant Mall (Concourse Level) on all weekends of September-December. Hope you can visit and try the yummy treats from old and new participants
Last year was the first Baker’s Dozen. It was originally scheduled for September but the participants themselves made a petition to extend. The Baker’s Dozen was extended until December. Here is the feature I made last year on the Baker’s Dozen ( click on the link )

Wow Linds and Steve, you guys never fail to amaze us! What a party!! When we received the invitation, we already knew that this was going to be a grand celebration. Javier did not want to leave anymore the party!
Every single detail was well thought of. Lindy told me that she designed and put a lot of effort into coming up with the Monopoly game which was the giveaway for the party. She made that herself!! And the cake! It was a rotating cake with many mini cakes all around!
It was also nice to see all the kids who came dressed up for the occassion.
Till the next party! We can’t wait!

I was only able to take some photos as I was shuffling between 3 events that day. Good thing they were all in Polo Club. All I know is that it was a beautiful set up with everything put together so well. My cousin, Mike, was there to join the shower. I heard there were no games nor a stripper, so it was a wholesome shower 🙂
Welcome to the family Kathy!! We love you already!
Maritess Enriquez, Irene Francisco, DJ Lopez and Cat Huang

August 16, Saturday 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Thanks to my cousin, Ana, for sharing this video with me. I literally lost my apetite watching the video. But it is reality.
One of the things I am very particular about with my kids in the dinner table – it is making sure that they finish everything on their plate. They should only order or get what they can finish. They have to finish every grain of rice on their plate. So I was very happy when my eldest son told me that they showed this video to the students in his school, Beacon. It reinforces what I am trying to teach them, though I know I still have to repeat myself every time, I will do it and do it until they understand what i am trying to tell them and the importance of not wasting food as there are many other people and children in the world that are starving. For those who have not seen this yet, take time out to watch it…

My cousin, Ana, makes sure that her garbage is clean. She takes time out to wash it and put them in proper bags. Visit my previous entry last March 22. This was a very popular entry in my website. Thank you Ana for always sharing with us your kind deeds and making us open our eyes and taking the small deeds seriously…small deeds that actually make a difference in other people’s lives.

Felix is owned by our friends Miguel Pastor and Ben Chan together with their partners Richard Gomez and Chef Florabel. Miguel and Ben are venturing into so many businesses…and I am glad this time there is food involved 🙂
Congratulations and more power to you!
(thanks to Miguel for the owner photos)
I have eaten in Felix twice already. First with my good friend Michele and then with Rina who invited us all. I always like something different from the usual…I thought that Felix is something out of the ordinary and very creative.
