Cantinetta

This is my brother’s ( Noey ) favorite restaurant! and also a family favorite on both sides of the family. We ate here for his birthday this year and also last year. Gerry and Tina eat here every week with Dad and their kids.

In my personal opinion, this is one of the Italian restaurants in our country that is comparable to the ones in Italy. The only thing lacking is being in Italy itself. I highly recommend Cantinetta for Italian food.

One of the BEST Spaghetti bolognese!!! YUMMY!!!

THE BEST TARTUFO ( Truffle ) PASTA, you must have this if you like tartufo. It normally comes in fettucine noodles, but I prefer always spaghetti noodles. Either way, it is YUMMY!!!

THE BEST SCALOPPINE MILANESE!!! Comparable to the one in Italy! TRY it if you like breaded veal or we sometimes call this Cotoletti or Costoleta ala Milanese.

This is the manager of the restaurant. Wow! Italian Manager for an Italian restaurant! No wonder it is good!!

I like him because he did not stop me from taking photos! 🙂

Garage Sale by Tessa

Heart2Heart was at Tessa’s house at 7:30 am and there were already quite a number of people going through the many things that Tessa had for sale. This is one of the most organized Garage sales I have ever been to.

1.) All the items were properly sorted by category

2.) Most of the items had price tags

3.) They had receipts to give to the customers

4.) There were guards by the gate to check all the people going out and checking the items with the receipt

5.) There were people in charge of the different responsibilities – pricing, cashiering, guarding, etc etc.

Thank you to Tessa for generously sharing her blessings. She has a lot of blessings, a lot things for herself but she generously gives them away too….. for charity. Popsie was telling her to send down more toys since the toy department was running out and the next thing you knew, she sent down more toys 🙂

As soon as Tessa came down to greet everyone and check on the sale, the ambience of the whole event changed. She just has this personality that is so alive and fun. Then she brought down her Ipod and put some music! That was so cool! A garage sale with music! 🙂 She is just as colorful as the many things that she had in the garage sale.

Being the Sea Princess, she had some fish decorations hanging in her tents…

Some friends of Heart2Heart came over and cousins of Tessa stopped by before their saturday biking routine…

Popsie seemed to be the head honcho of everything. I found her so amusing as she would talk to the customers and try to explain not to bargain so much as the proceeds would go to the “mga batang may bulate.” She is so funny! Then she was the one responsible for placing the price tags on the items the day before

All proceeds go to the National Orthopedic Hospital – psychiatric ward for kids. They will buy nebulizers, medicines and pediatric wheelchairs. Also, the proceeds to go to around one thousand children in Roxas City, Capiz for deworming.

Marlon was the one in charge of pricing the items especially the clothes, gowns, shoes and accessories of Tessa

I was surprised to see my bootcamp classmate Girlie. She is part of batch ’81 and was in charge of the first shift. She was the cashier listing down all the items in the receipt and accepting payments. It was a tough job as the lines were long very early in the morning.

Tessa had any many things to choose from, not only her fashion items that she is known for. There were home items, picture frames ( with her photos in them ), children’s clothes, DVDs, some electronic items, sofas, chairs, and toys.

Some of the customers of course wanted to have a picture with the celebrity

Time to shop again and then next year maybe you will have PART2! Thanks Tessa for your generosity. I am sure you were attached to many of your things that had sentimental value to you, but yet you willingly shared them with others who will benefit from them. You will surely be helping a lot of children. Thanks also to Assumption batch ’81 for spearheading the event! What a great idea!

So they can make any furniture to your specifications. Your parents did a good job in building your home….It’s beautiful. It is perfect for a perfect and beautiful family whom we admire. Though you guys live so far from us, we hope to spend more time with you…as we enjoy your company.

Las Paellas

Thanks to my friend, Janet for treating me to Las Paellas, one of their family’s favorite places. Ned followed after awhile and joined us. Mon, the owner, was there. I told him to open in Makati so I can try more things on his menu! 🙂

It was a nice cozy restaurant across Starbucks in President’s Avenue, BF Paranque. I was surprised to see such an extensive menu. They do not serve only paellas but many many more. Mon’s wife designed and made the menu.

Hossein

One advantage of being the birthday celebrant is that you get to choose the restaurant to go to! So of course, my all time favorite is Persian Kebab. And for the first time, we get to try the newest branch in Serendra. And it was so nice to see Mr. Hossein there! I was able to introduce my dad and mom finally to him. Hossein’s is opening a 4th branch in Greenbelt 3 which I promised I would visit. He says it is even nicer than Serendra. Mr. Hossein remembers James and I even when we were still dating which was around 20 years ago.We would go once a week for many years. Mr. Hossein was surprised to see our two sons the eldest being 12 years old already. On the second floor of his restaurant is a place for private functions. Another private room downstairs for a smaller groupThe restroomGarlic bread and Toasted Papad. The best dips – Misa Kasemi, Hummus and Motabal ( not in photo). Order them all! They are the BEST!I always order the fried rice ( bottom right )You have to try the Roulette kebab ( first photo on top )- I only tried this here and it is so good. Even Dad liked it. It is a kebab that has beef, prawn and chicken- YUMMY!LAMB RIBS!!! THE BEST!! M. Jun Jun made sure we ordered this. Then Dad ordered another order after. More power to you Mr. Hossein! Kierulf-Cojuangco Wedding

Congratulations to Anthony and Best Wishes to Patty! You guys seem to be so in love! Thank you for making us a part of your special day.

We were not able to go to the church for the ceremonies as we were coming from out of town. So the church photos were from the slideshow they showed at the reception.

This was my favorite part of the wedding. For some reason, I could not stop taking photos trying to capture that moment. They were dancing, it looked like he was talking to her, they were hugging each other tight. It showed the relationship of Patty and her father, it was a beautiful moment![email_link]
