I treated my friends, Suharto and Rina in the Pancake House of my Mom in Binondo! We are hardly in the area so since we were there, I made sure I took them there.
This is what we had……
We most especially liked their specials!!!
We could definitely not resist this!!! The cream cheese in between the pancakes tempted me to try this and we all loved it. I just had them not put the orange sauce and I had them bring me the regular pancake syrup! YUMMY!!!

I find myself going back to the store almost 4 times a week just to check out the great deals!! And they are not the BUY ONE TAKE ONE deals on slow moving or non interesting stuff. The items on promotion are really GOOD items that we really use at home!! So I am busy throughout the week going to Shopwise Pasong Tamo, Rustan’s Makati and Rustan’s Expresslane. I found out that San Antonio Express lane has different promotions just for their store. So you can imagine me making my rounds among these three stores and hoarding them to take advantage of the great deals!!! I GO CRAZY!!! 🙂

Suharto and Manoling organized an evening of music … I thought it was a great idea!!! Imagine we had our own private music /entertainment! A nice way to spend time and enjoy with friends! Thanks to Manoling for providing the venue and the drinks
Before everyone arrived, it was just Nikki, Juan Miguel and us and Juan Miguel asked me if I knew how to play the piano and sing – he made me sit there and test the sounds and piano….only to find out that he is the one who knows how to sing and play the piano! It was a revelation to us that evening 🙂 So he warmed up the evening…..Juan Miguel reminds me of Martin Nievera a bit when he sings and moves 🙂

Suharto brought Kate Torralba to sing…apparently she is a very good musician aside from being a fashion designer!

Juan Miguel apparently has an in house pianist who he also invited to play that evening
Manoling invited Nino Mendoza to come over as well…. Bombi was whispering to us- Nino was the ex-husband of Snooky Cerna! 🙂

I am so happy that there is a Vargas Kitchen now in Rustan’s Supermarket Rockwell and Makati! I see a lot of people tempted to have something and they do not even think twice and just pass by to get their slice of buttercake or take out a whole cake! It is strategically located at Makati store since it is right after the checkout so you can get some before going home
My all time favorite Brazo de Mercedez in the whole wide world is from Vargas Kitchen. I have been eating that since i was a kid when Lola Mameng would serve it!
So when I saw this, I immediately bought a piece and tried it! YUMMY!!!!!!!!
