Pilgrimage to the Holy Doors of Mercy

 What a fulfilling day!!!! The BFFs were pilgrims yesterday and visited the 5 Holy Doors of Mercy.  A different kind of Halloween where your treats are the blessings God gives in every door.

The whole time we kept saying “We are so happy” “What a nice day” ??

We are so lucky to be alive while Pope Francis is Pope.

We have been planning this for months and finally decided on a date. We started at 730am and finished at 4pm with lunch ( 1 1/2 hours) in between. We stayed 40 minutes to 1 hour per door. You can finish it probably in half a day if no traffic and just bring food in the car. You still have til November 12 to visit the Holy Doors of Mercy #HolyDoorofMercy #PopeFrancis #HolyDoorsofMercy #H2HGroups #H2HBFFs

 There are many Holy Doors but the Archdiocese of Manila is the only one that has the passport and has 5 churches included.  This is what we did as our pilgrimagepilgrimage-to-the-holy-doors-of-mercy-1 pilgrimage-to-the-holy-doors-of-mercy-100We sort of made an itinerary as a guide.  We got hungry after the 3rd church so we had lunch so we do not get dizzy and rush had we gone ahead to the other churches

Dinner with Fr. Bautista

Dinner with the board members (from Ateneo ) of Sta. Teresita Miarayon headed by Fr. Kit Bautista SJ. He gave us medallions of Mama Mary which they wear during the month of the Holy Rosary. He was ordained and lived in Miarayon bukidnon for 4 years. After which he went to Ateneo Loyola but he always went back and visited 3-4 times a year. 10 years ago, He set up a school for the indigenous people there because it took the kids ( preschool to grade 6) 1 hour to walk to school  #stateresitamiarayon #miarayonbukidnon #H2HGivingBackdinner-with-fr-bautista-6dinner-with-fr-bautista-4 dinner-with-fr-bautista-7 dinner-with-fr-bautista-10 Fr. Halloween Costumes 2016

As usual my friend Janet is amazing! Her costumes this year for Josh and Tiana at the Manila Polo Club Halloween  party.   They went as aliens! Josh  won first prize and the prize is a trip for 2 to HK 2 days 3 nights including Disneyland!!! Wow!!! They deserve it. They win every year!!! Ateneo Group Get Together 2016

 Ateneo annual get together 🙂  It’s so hard to get our schedules together so it was one year ago we had our get together and it was Halloween too. I told everyone to bring costumes but no one wanted so I brought the costumes!! ( c/o my Mom ) Walang lusot haha!!

Sunday Family Lunch with the de Jesus Cousins

A nice Sunday family lunch with the de Jesus cousins!!!  Willy, Kit, April, Raul and Jennysunday-family-lunch-with-the-de-jesus-cousins-1  Aunty Remy hosted the lunch.  Her little room with her artworks which she painted herself sunday-family-lunch-with-the-de-jesus-cousins-3  and awards of her husband, Uncle Reysunday-family-lunch-with-the-de-jesus-cousins-4 sunday-family-lunch-with-the-de-jesus-cousins-8  Josie was there to help out!!

Josie used to work for Dad and Mom. She started when she was 24 years old in 1990 and worked for 15 years. Then in 2005 she worked in Canada for 1 year then moved to Connecticut to work for Aunty Remy’s son,  Rainier from 2006-2014. She’s super efficient, smart, reliable, hardworking and most importantly she has initiative. Her dad spotted her talent at 4 years old and pushed her to continue singing.
