Women have come a long way in their quest for the best red lipstick—and this is not only true for beauty junkies. Every woman loves this shade so much that it has become a universal weapon to instantly create sultry and memorable looks for different events. It’s associated with strength, passion, confidence, glamour, and motivation; everyone just love the instant dose of va-va-voom it brings to any look!
The dilemma, though, is finding the perfect shade specially made for you.
Luckily, Max Factor, a trusted makeup brand who knows the ins and outs of the color theory, just launched four red lipstick shades for that striking red pout that’ll suit every woman. And what better way to do that than having the most memorable beauty icon of all time, Marilyn Monroe, as its newest glamour ambassador. The actress is testament to the transformational powers a single stick of red lipstick holds.

In the quest for beauty and their mission to make every woman feel beautiful, Max Factor adapts the #MyMarilyn Movement., which supports the belief that every woman is stunning and has the right to look and feel beautiful with the help of makeup. It aims to boost self-confidence and to help them rise up against adversities With this, the #MyMarilyn Movement demonstrates how a little red lipstick can go a long way.
The shades of the collection—all in vibrant color with moisturizing formula, and enhanced with fresh citrus notes and sensuous vanilla undertones for that extra oomph—are made as an invitation for all women to come out of their shells and be more of the woman they are; more confident, more empowered, more daring, and able to embrace and own their #MyMarilyn moment. Who said you can’t be your own star? Revel in the spotlight and have your favorite red with you all the time for those shining moments—all you need is the right shade.
The stunning shades include the Marilyn Ruby Red, a gorgeous true red shade inspired by Marilyn and her iconic red lip; Marilyn Sunset Red, a beautiful burnt orange, red shade that’s a must-have for those with warm or olive skin tones; Marilyn Berry, which compliments pale skin tones with its blue undertones; and Marilyn Cabernet, a rich, deep red with purple undertones perfect for dark skin tones.

Each shade promises a bold pop of color that’s unique for every woman’s individual skin tones—perfect for a glamourous transformation anytime you need one. The New Max Factor Marilyn Monroe Collection also features a unique blend of oils, butters and new fragrance that help nourishes, protects and smoothen lips.

Ready to rock your perfect red and have a #MyMarilyn moment. Grab any shade from Max Factor Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Collection.
Max Factor Marilyn Monroe Lipstick Collection is now available in Zalora Pop-up Store at Bonifacio High Street Central and will be available in leading department stores nationwide from October 2016, with a suggested retail price of PHP595.

The long wait is over. After its huge success at the 3rd QCinema International Film Festival—where it won Best Picture—and reaping acclaim at international filmfests in Europe, the US, and Asia, the movie “Apocalypse Child” screens in commercial theaters nationwide beginning October 26.
“Apocalypse Child” is a drama starring award-winning actor Sid Lucero as Ford,
a surfing instructor in Baler, who has been told all his whole life that he is the son of American director Francis Ford Coppola. One summer, as the surfing season is wrapping up, Ford’s carefree existence is disrupted with the return of Rich (RK Bagatsing),
a childhood friend-turned-politician. Rich brings along his fiancee Serena (Gwen Zamora)
whom he encourages to take surfing lessons. Serena and Ford become close, upsetting Fiona (Annicka Dolonius), a young surfer who is harboring a secret love for Ford.
Meanwhile, Ford’s mother Chona (Ana Abad Santos) has been trying to get the director to acknowledge her son.
As Chona’s petition reaches a breakthrough, Ford is forced to confront his past actions, inactions and the stories of his life.
“Apocalypse Child” received four awards at the 3rd QCinema International Filmfest: Best Director for Mario Cornejo, Best Supporting Actress for Annicka Dolonius, Technical Excellence in Editing for Lawrence Ang, and Best Film. The QCinema jury cited it as a brave and intense film with superb performances. The jury further noted that “The beauty of (its) filmmaking elevates a simple story into a powerful drama that unravels the fractured nature of identity.”
Recently, the Cinema Evalutaion Board (CEB) gave “Apocalypse Child” a grade of “A,”entitling the film to a 100-percent tax rebate. In its summation, the CEB praised the ensemble cast and the production values and hailed the film as a potential hit. The CEB stated, “It is films like ‘Apocalypse Child’ that remind us that there is always a fresh way of telling a story, and like the director Mario Cornejo’s maiden project with Monster Jimenez, ‘Big Time,’ it is a potential sleeper and helps keep the indie spirit alive.”
“Apocalypse Child” is rated R-16 by the MTRCB. It is distributed by Solar Entertainment Corporation. The movie is supported by Belo Sun Expert. For updates, like the Apocalypse Child Facebook page and check out website apocalypsechild.com

The Party Kitchen (TPK) is a food delivery service that brings chef created dishes to your office, home, and gatherings. Their menu has a variety of Asian favorites (IE. Chap Chae, Pad Thai, Chicken Satay,) pasta dishes (IE. Pesto, Baked Macaroni, Spaghetti & Meatballs), and Filipino fare (IE. fresh lumpiang ubod, Pancit Canton, Beef Tadyang Kare –Kare, Lechon Roll).
The secret to the success of The Party Kitchen is a chef certified by The California Culinary Academy in 1991 – Chef Ging Carsi Cruz. She creates an array of dishes for TPK and oversees the food quality to assure that all customers who order from The Party Kitchen have an enjoyable and memorable food experience.
Ging Carsi Cruz was the Chef of the food concessionaire at the American Embassy and has worked for Heritage Foods (Racks chain of restaurants and Formula Sprorts Café). She is also behind Mexijunction at the Salcedo Saturday and Legazpi Markets.
Chef Ging’s dishes do not only satisfy discerning palettes, they also provide one with a “healthier option”. For example, TPK’s Sisig Lechon Wrap and Lechon Sisig are made from pork belly (instead of innards), fresh & prime ingredients are used daily, and base sauces are made from scratch.
Michelle Pantoja- Picornell, who was the owner of a successful catering business in Quezon City , 4th Street Kitchen, immediately noticed that TPK does not skimp on ingredients and that oil is not re-used. Michelle orders from TPK regularly for her business meetings and when she wants to impress guests at home.
The Party Kitchen has also become popular with yoga practitioners who order vegetarian noodle dishes in advance (IE. Pesto, Pomodoro, Pad Thai, Canton and Chap Chae). Tofu Shitake Mushroom Sisig is also a favorite.
For those who live in apartments with smaller kitchens and for those who do not have time to cook, The Party Kitchen has been a godsend. Busy actors, Art Acuña and Jake Macapagal enjoy both the convenience and flavors of TPK. The Party Kitchen food delivery service makes meals at home and entertaining easy for them.
The Party Kitchen accepts orders via telephone (519-1111) and via private message on Facebook: thepartykitchen.ph Advanced orders are appreciated for larger orders. Their delivery trays are also made out of ecological materials and come in Small (2-4 Pox), Medium (6-8 Pax) and large (10-12 Pax).
The Party Kitchen also participates in any activity as a food partner. Aside from delivering quality food to your table, TPK wants all customers to have a convenient, fast, fun, and memorable experience with them.
