I really look forward to this event every year! Â
Previous entry: Â The 12th Grand Wine Experience November 16, 2012Â
 11th Grand Wine Experience November 27, 2011Â
The 10th Grand Wine Experience December 14, 2010Â
And each year it gets better and better!!

Congratulations to the Joseph Family!!! MORE POWER!!!!
I come mostly for the food since I do not really drink.  The highlight this year as you enter was the Angel of Gironde.  The angel is made with 100% Pure Belgian Chocolate by Felchin. 120 kilos of dark chocolate, 80 hours of work, 5 feet 7 inches in height Handcrafted by Chef Chris Balane Chocolatier Â
Beside the angel were these huge cakes which were edible and was really very good.  Around it were big truffle chocolates – they were actually hollow inside but it was very good.  I even took home one 🙂
Spotted! The Joseph boys and some friends enjoying the evening! 🙂
German Executive Chef Meik Bremmer and his team of Chefs from the Marriot Hotel.  The beef burgundy was cooked in 20 liters of French wine.  It tasted really good!Â

A few months ago, Chef Javs cooked a degustation for his Lolo Benny! Â I am happy he is quite organized in the kitchen- I always go in to check on him but he does not like me taking photos of him
Here he is with Lolo Benny, Father Caluag and Basty! 🙂 Â
White asparagus with bernaise sauce and caviar. Â He makes a really good bernaise sauce
Bruschetta with goat cheese, honey and grapesÂ
This is one of his signature dishes which he invented. Â He usually serves this in most of his degustations. Â Raclette with marbled potatoes baked in goose fat, with Jamon and onions
Our other guest, Annica who loves Jamon and asked for extra Jamon 🙂
Oops there’s another Jamon lover!
French onion soup! Â We all love this. Â He has perfected this already
Roast Chicken with truffled mashed potatoes
Dessert not made by Chef Javs 🙂

Last year, I had the chance to meet Cat Ilacad!  Apparently she is a reader of Heart2Heart and it makes me happy 🙂  Cat is the owner and founder of Posh Nails which she started 11 years ago.  She is successful now with  25 branches.  This lady is AMAZING!  She is also the daughter of the movie producer, Orly Ilacad. Â
She now started a new business concentrating on foot massage.  She told me that many of her clients at Posh nails like to have foot massages 🙂  Her concept is a boutique hotel type place with different rooms which can accommodate groups and individual.   Â
More power to you Cat!!! Â

Thank you Chut for sharing your special day with us!  Happy 40th!
