Mom and her Dad ( Lolo ) always have their moments when they seem to always have a secret meeting! 🙂 I manage to capture them most of the time. This one was from Tita Tess

Mom was telling Lolo the advice from Tito Mandy’s mom. I think it is such great advice, I am sharing this with all of you and maybe a good new year’s message 🙂
1.) Kung may gusto ka, BILHIN MO NA!
2.) Don’t invest LONG TERM, Baka PATAY KA NA! 🙂
3.) What your apo likes, bigay mo na ngayon! ( I told Mom, what about ANAK? haha!! )
4.) Kung binigay ka ng anak mo, bigyan mo rin anak mo!
5.) Go travel and do what you want to do while you can still do it. There will come a time when you cannot do it na

My Lolo has a devotion to the Divine Mercy. He shares this with all of us so we too will be devoted. So I am sharing this as well in H2H to all of you
Lolo wanted his own version, so he asked the help of Dr. Cuanan and he commissioned Leaño to paint the Divine Mercy which he keeps in his chapel
Lolo also had the image made so he could give it to family and spread his devotion. Thank you Lolo for this beautiful image which we put in a special place in our house with the photo of Sr. Faustina. Lolo first gave us the frame at the back, then recently gave the image with the frame of Sister Faustina
Included with the Divine Mercy photo is a photo of Sr. Faustina – Lolo says to always put the two together and to make sure we read the story behind it to understand it

This was the wonderful spread at Town & Country’s first ever Fabulous Food Affair last November 15. As Editor-in-Chief Yvette Fernandez put it, “Food is a direct link to home, it is visceral and it something you can appreciate with your five senses.” And the Fabulous Food Affair was truly an experience for all five senses.
Held in Aracama, Bonifacio Global City, with its modern hacienda-style interiors, the venue was perfect for Chef Romy Dorotan and Amy Besa’s Fabulous Food Affair aptly titled, “Brooklyn meets Bicol, atbp”,
with Chef Fernando Aracama of Aracama and J. Gamboa of Cirkulo.
Chef Romy and Amy are known for their critically acclaimed restaurants, Cendrillon in SoHo, and Purple Yam, in Brooklyn as well as their best-selling book, “Memories of Philippine Kitchens” – which offered a fascinating – and personal – look at Filipino cuisine and culture.
Among the selected guests at the intimate dinner were sisters Xandra Ramos Padilla and Rajo Laurel,
Monique Villonco, Yvette Fernandez, Piki and Monina Lopez

Town & Country Philippines is delighted to have had the opportunity to support Ang Sariling Atin.
