Michael Kors Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

By | Fashion, What's New at Rustan's | No Comments

michael-michael-kors-fall-2012.jpg

Michael Kors is having a Tinseltown moment. The designer’s fall 2012 advertising campaign fuses together two of his most cherished themes: jetset style and Hollywood glamour. Photographed by Mario Testino at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, the captivating images draw inspiration from the backlots of golden-age Hollywood. Models Karmen Pedaru and Simon Nessman, appearing in their fifth campaign, are pictured together on a sound stage like a latter-day version of ‘30s icons Carole Lombard and Clark Gable. “I love Karmen and Simon because they are both super-glamorous and approachable at once,” says Kors. “They’re youthful and sophisticated at the same time, which makes them so very Michael Kors.”

The ads will bow in the August issues of U.S. publications such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and W, and the September issues of 63 international titles—14 editions of Vogue, 12 editions of Elle and 13 editions of Harper’s Bazaar among them. The images will also be pushed through digital and mobile outlets, as well as social media platforms. Meanwhile, behind the scenes videos of the shoot will be posted on the recently relaunched DestinationKors.com.

In the Philippines, Michael Kors is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, The Power Plant Mall, Shangri-La Plaza Mall, and Newport Mall.

They were on soft opening and it seems they are doing well since they were fully booked that evening.  It’s a good thing we came early and we promised we would just eat fast and run!

Organizing Part 3 by Tito Villanueva

By | Household Tips | 5 Comments

When I went to Tito’s place I was overwhelmed with too many details and things that he had so I cut the feature in parts.

Previous entry:  By Tito Villanueva  July 25, 2012

These are very popular features, so whenever I can share some organization tips, I get excited!

Not only does he have a cozy and beautiful place, but it is a very organized one!!!  He is OC! 🙂

That cat in the basket looked so real!! I had to go up close to check!

Love this!

Tito told me this was a door and instead of sealing it and closing it, he used it as storage space – a beautiful display at the same time.  He is always very practical and at the same time makes use of space wisely and manages to turn it into something beautiful

His kitchen

Tito told me that he does not waste any space! If you will notice even this small space he made into a cabinet and he still used it for storage.  Normally we will just cover that up

Organized drawers!!

Tito measures all his things and he customizes the cabinets and the layers based on his requirements!! How much more detailed can you get than this? He is amazing!

organizing-part-3-011.jpgorganizing-part-3-012.jpg

He put this cabinet on top of the sink so straight from washing you can put them up here already to dry

Another cabinet built to specs to fit his vases!
