AMAZZONE: THE STORY OF A MUST-HAVE ITEM
AMAZZONE is a bag with a strong, yet highly feminine personality rooted in the brand’s historic archives, and is the result of a reinterpretation of a cult model from the past.
The concepts around each variation developed are multi-functionality, versatility and practicality. Each choice of material, detail and colour is dictated by the desire to transform a single bag into many bags, with multiple personalities: AMAZZONE is classic in the nappa-leather, youthful dressed in pony skin, unconventional in the animal-print, super-chic in ostrich-print leather and aggressive with gold or bronze embellished studs chosen this season to interpret the rock-chic mood to perfection.
A distinctive element that lends character to the bag is the presence of large side zips that not only increase its capacity, thanks to the interior expandable pockets, but also conceal unexpected constructive and creative solutions: inserts in contrasting colours and materials.
MINI & MAXI BAGS
The season’s fashion speaks to us of a dynamic, elegant, refined lady who loves a vaguely retro style made of precious details.
The bag is an essential accessory: it has sober lines, is always chic and is preferably carried in the hand.
Maxi bags designed for working girls and mini bags in perfect ladylike style. To be used day and night, combined with the most special outfits. To be carried together or one “dangling” from the other like a curious maxi-charm. And, always, with an original twist.
Furla has developed some of its iconic seasonal lines in mini & maxi versions: alongside the classic St. Germain handbag of somewhat retro taste is the mini version in the same colour variations and made from the same materials (nappa, leather, crocodile and ostrich-print leather, pony skin and suede).
The Candy line, now a Furla must, has also been developed in the two sizes. The classic rectangular rubber bag, proposed in new tones, is joined by the new, small Candy, a mini-bag to be carried in the hand or worn with a strap in a wealth of sparkling colors.
In the Philippines, Furla is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is located at Greenbelt 5, Rustan’s Makati, and Shangri-La Plaza Mall.

Believe it or not, we have not yet moved! I have been packed and ready since July 5!
Previous Entry: Packing Up July 5, 2011
We have been moving things slowly and many things we have decided not to take with us except for a few things. One of them is our Sub Zero. When we got married 17 years ago and moved to our house, one of the first investments we made was buying a Sub Zero. They did not have it yet available in the Philippines at that time, so we had to even get it from the States and have it shipped here.
This is it being dismantled and removed from our kitchen. Good thing I was still able to take a photo. The white wood has already turned somewhat beige in color
This is the inside which is still okay except for a few spots where paint has been removed already through time and from opening and closing the refrigerator
We transferred it to the new place and we called Focus Global to transfer it. We trust only them to do the transfer to make sure that it is done properly and correctly. We had it repainted first before putting it in the kitchen. And here it is now in it’s new home. The photo is not too good but the wood is now back to white and it looks like brand new and still functioning well 🙂

It takes Real Passion to Give. Leyende, which started from a small kitchen where one woman learned to hand-mix eco-friendly natural and organic body products, is now a 140sqm workshop, where founder and President, Neva Kares P. Talladen trains and employs empowered women in the artisanal process of production, something we like to call “passionately handmade” — working with respect for the environment and pride in using one’s hands.
With the same dedication and passion, we proudly introduce three Limited Edition products with embellishments designed by Sharon See and handmade by Invisible Sisters Foundation,
which directly benefits the following advocacies:
**UNICEF Product: Mother Butter Limited Edition, 100ml Motto: “Save a Mother, Save the Future” Advocacy: Maternal and Neonatal Healthcare program Pledge: P100 per product unit sold is donated to UNICEF
**SCHOOL H.O.U.S.E. Product: Clean Slate Pump Limited Edition, 100ml Motto: “Wash away ignorance” Advocacy: Project H.O.U.S.E. College Education Fund Pledge: P100 per product unit sold is donated to Project H.O.U.S.E. (under Messy Bessy)
***MARILLAC HILLS SHELTER FOR WOMEN Product: Beach Bomb Wings Limited Edition, 50ml Motto: “The Sweet Scent of Freedom” Advocacy: Marillac Women’s Shelter Pledge: P100 per product unit sold is donated to Marilac Rehabilitation Center and Shelter for Abused Women
Tis the season of giving once more! But with all the gadgets, toys and accessories available in shops and on-line, choosing presents has become more of a chore than a thoughtful process. With everyone scrambling to the next new shiny thing, the value of handmade gifts seems a thing of the past.
What do you give someone who means the world to you? Or someone who gets the latest and trendiest gifts each season?
Instead of adding to the culture of excess that each holiday brings, Leyende offers a refreshing take on truly meaningful gifts: the
Real Benefits Campaign.
Holiday shopping takes on a new, socially-relevant dimension with the following limited-edition Leyende products:

Congratulations Tita Isabel and Isa for al your effort in making this an annual tradition. As always your Belen is so beautiful, thank you to Ding Mercado, who tells me that whenever he is working on his design and the Belen that he does it with much love.
I will never be tired seeing all the beautiful Belens the people of Tarlac work so hard to put up during Christmas. I feel their energy, spirit and love when they proudly present their labor of love. Thank you Tita Isabel and Isa for bringing that spirit to the hearts of everyone who come to see all the belens. I wish more people could come and see them live and not only in photos.
