Silk Road by Nobu on Crystal Serenity

There are 2 premium restaurant. Silk Road (Nobu) and an Italian Restaurant Prego. Guests on a 7 day cruise can eat ( eat all you want) twice (1 each or twice at premium restaurants). Our first night we rushed here!! We had no reservation but we took a risk and sat in the Sushi bar!!

Choose all you want!!!OMG! New Style Sashimi – Wagyu beef- YUM! There is one Japanese Sushi Chef. Look at all that Salmon sashimi!! You can order premium items but with additional cost 🙂 We ate again a second night with the family. This was the night we reserved in advance Vanilla and Coconut tapioca soup! YUM!

Entertainment on Board Crystal Serenity

That day we boarded the ship, it was the NBA finals. But don’t you worry! Crystal Cruises was ready and they were showing it and they even had freshly popped popcorn
And so much food!!!! It’s a whole world on board a cruise ship. It’s like a city on water! I wish we had more time so we could relax and enjoy all the things on board!

Welcome show at the Galaxy Lounge on board the Crystal Serenity @crystalcruises Every night there are shows to entertain the guests and it’s all included already with your stay. #CrystalCruises #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 The Galaxy Lounge where the shows are every evening Gary Hunter, the Cruise Director There are 2 seatings for the shows just like the meals where there are 2 seatings to be able to accommodate the number of guests and to also give schedule options – We are always in the early seating and to think we were probably the youngest in the cruise haha!!

I enjoyed this show because I love Billy Joel and his songs!! The last night show was in darkness and illuminated dancers! We also joined a show in the afternoon at Pulse Disco – they have a Disco in the ship! A magic show! 🙂 There is a casino on board! A movie theater with movies changing daily Knitting 🙂 There’s many activities on board at different times during the day whether you are at port or in the ship My favourite activity is the Spa! Unfortunately this is not unlimited and included haha!! But they gave us credits worth $200.00 each to use onboard so Ofcourse I chose to spend it on a massage. I did this on the last day of the cruise. Computer University where you can use computers, use computers to learn and they also have computer classes They offer classes at Computer University @ Sea. I joined the class on how to use iMovie. They have a photographer on board stalking you ( haha ) or taking photos in the lobby or in the dining room and then you can purchase them. We were given two free photos of our choice

Taste, Trident Grill and Lido Cafe in Crystal Serenity

We boarded in the afternoon so the first thing on our mind was food! as always! 🙂 We went to the Lido Deck to have sandwich and ice cream.

There are 3 ways to dine here

Trident Grill and Taste

Trident Bar and Grill has the sandwiches Chef Javs came back here every afternoon and had 3 Minute Steak Sandwiches without the bun! Good thing my kids eat a lot – they made up for what their parents didn’t eat!! :-O My Dad loved this!! He said it was his best meal on board! Oh boy! haha!! Those sweet potato fries were so good!!!! Tastes is another cooking station where you can have pizza, dimsum and ice cream!! The pizza was okay!! I suggest they change the oven to a brick oven and upgrade and it will be perfect!!!! 🙂 YUM bolognese!!!!! Look for Gerald Lido Cafe has the buffet type of dining and more casual. We never got to eat a whole buffet but while in Trident, we would sneak in here once in awhile to check it out and get a little of what we like especially for dessert options

Onboard Crystal Serenity

The beauty about travelling on a cruise is being able to visit different cities without having to pack and unpack and change hotels in each city. On board Crystal Cruises, what you pay for includes already all the meals and unlimited! If you calculate the cost you are paying – it is like a hotel room – the only difference is, the food and drinks is already included and really good food and drinks. And the transportation from city to city is also included. So if you compute it, it is worth it. I LOVE CRUISING!! 🙂

They set a day during the cruise where there are rooms for viewing so we were able to visit the different rooms except for the Crystal Penthouse with Verandah which has only 4 and they were all occupied.

Penthouse with Verandah As you enter there is a dresser the bathroom and the walk in closet Jacuzzi – not only a regular bath tub The room which has a living room The only hotel room where the bar is included! Drink all you want Binoculars Not included in the unlimited food but you can order for a fee You can also order unlimited Canapés and liquors here on this menu – It is included already in the price you paid for the cruise They have stationary where you can have your name printed – just give it to your butler Yum yum chocolates Your own Balcony The view was already beautiful while docked in Vancouver. We sailed that night we boarded at 11pm You have your own butler – it’s Krunch from Turkey for us who lived in Davao for 5 years! He will do anything and everything you ask him to!! We love Crunch! Penthouse Suite with Verandah which has a bigger bathroom, and the bedroom is separate from the living room and there is a little dining table

Crystal Cruises

Our next destination – On board the Crystal Symphony @crystalcruises at the Canada Place Ship Terminal in Vancouver. The last time we went on a cruise was 20 years ago when our eldest son was only 1 year old and he even joined us – so we were looking forward to this adventure. There were 3 ships leaving that day from this terminal – Celebrity Cruise and Holland America Line #H2HVancouver #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #CrystalCruises #CrystalCruiseSerenityAs you arrive in the ship, a beautiful lobby awaits 🙂 With live music from a string quartet. This is also the main point of the cruise and main deck called the Crystal deck. It is the same from 20 years ago! haha!! 🙂 But still beautiful
Crystal Cruises (12) You have to check in like you are checking in a hotel 🙂 And they take your photo and you are given a pass like this 🙂 You need this to go in and out of the ship like your passport Crystal Cruises (11) Drinks 🙂 Hallway to our room Welcome souvenirs They remember that it is our second cruise 🙂 I am looking forward to our gift for the third one 🙂 Maps all over. We sailed that evening at 11pm #H2HAlaskanCruise2016 #CrystalCruises #CrystalCruiseSerenity #H2HVancouver I walked around sometimes and I stumbled into this room – not sure what it is but maybe for private diningIn the bathrooms! I love this feature. There are also hand sanitisers around the ship There is security overtime you get off the ship and when you board. When boarding they have scanners for packages being brought in the ship We are 1,060 passengers which is small compared to other cruise that have up to 5,000 passengers. While some people like plenty people, I prefer less so it is not too crowded. I’ve only been on a cruise twice and they were both on Crystal and we had a memorable experience. There are 3 retired ladies who now live on Crystal Serenity. They sold their home and moved to Crystal to travel the world and live without worry of maintaining a home.
