Passion at Maxims Hotel Resorts World

By | Celebrations, Foodie | One Comment

We finally got to try the Chinese restaurant at Maxim’s Hotel

passion-01.jpgpassion-02.jpgpassion-03.jpgpassion-04.jpg

Thank you Benny and Soraya for inviting us to celebrate with you!

We love this family and we are always happy to be with them.  Their family reminds me of my family – they are all very close to one another and take care of each other

Soraya is the sister in law of my bestfriend, Rina, and she is the baker in the family 🙂  She lives with her dad, Tito Totoy and takes care of him very very well 🙂

passion-05.jpg

Of course the family is complete

passion-028.jpgpassion-018.jpg

And sister Sheba was there of course!  Other two sisters live abroad but according to these two sisters, they talk to each of their sisters abroad everyday sometimes 5 hours a day!!!!!!!!

Cicou Now Open in Greenhills

I was happy that Eds and Jeanne planned their birthday celebration here.  I remember a nice experience when it was still at Hotel Celeste

Previous entry:  Dina’s Surprise Dinner at Cicou March 13, 2009

I feel bad now that it is so far away from home and took it for granted being nearer in the Makati area.  I want to try the other dishes so will try to come back again

Beautiful set up by Krie.  Love the table cloth which is really a Morroccan bedspread that she used as a buffet table cloth instead and it’s so elegant and pretty!

Yurakuen at Diamond Hotel

By | Foodie | No Comments

After the talk of Howard, we went to have lunch nearby and went to the Diamond Hotel for Japanese food

yurakuen-029.jpg

It’s a wonder why in the Philippines, japanese restaurants have such a wide range to choose from in their menu which is totally the opposite when you go to Japan.  When you go to a Japanese restaurant in japan- they really just specialize- whether it be a tonkatsu restaurant, or a Tempura, ramen, yakiniku or Teppanyaki place.  It’s very specialized and they concentrate on what they do best!  To me its complicated to look through a long menu though in the Philippines it probably works well because we like eating in big groups and families- so the menu better cater to everyone 🙂

Javier Loves The Red Crab

By | Celebrations, Foodie | One Comment

Javier loves crabs!  And whenever Mom asks him to choose a restaurant, he always chooses RED CRAB!

Red Crab Alimango House Resorts World September 12, 2010

red-crab-birthday-016.jpg

Good thing I captured those moments as proof 🙂

red-crab-birthday-030.jpgred-crab-birthday-028.jpgred-crab-birthday-029.jpg

On his birthday last year, we went here again

red-crab-birthday-031.jpg

and he discovered the chicharon bulaklak which he likes too

red-crab-birthday-032.jpgred-crab-birthday-033.jpgred-crab-birthday-034.jpg

OH GOSH!

red-crab-birthday-035.jpg

This year, he chose Red Crab again

red-crab-birthday-018.jpg

Chicharon Bulaklak again

 red-crab-birthday-019.jpg

hmm…another deadly dish 🙂

red-crab-birthday-020.jpgred-crab-birthday-01.jpgred-crab-birthday-02.jpgred-crab-birthday-03.jpgred-crab-birthday-04.jpgred-crab-birthday-05.jpgred-crab-birthday-06.jpgred-crab-birthday-07.jpgred-crab-birthday-08.jpgred-crab-birthday-09.jpgred-crab-birthday-010.jpgred-crab-birthday-011.jpgred-crab-birthday-014.jpg

They offer so many kinds of ways of cooking for the crab.  They are all YUMMY!!  Problem is they are all fried!  So i asked the waited which one is not fried, and he said that they can just steam one for me so that is what I ordered!

red-crab-birthday-015.jpg

Getting ready for the crab

red-crab-birthday-017.jpgred-crab-birthday-022.jpg

I actually got some of the garlic from this prawn dish and used it for my crab

red-crab-birthday-021.jpg

Here is my steamed crab which was just as good without all the garnishings!  YUMMY!!  But of course I chose the female which probably negated the healthiness of the steamed crab

red-crab-birthday-023.jpg

Daddy loves crab too!

red-crab-birthday-024.jpg

Thanks Tita Pam for the birthday cake!
