So we asked him and he said yes he has a brother named Keith! His name is Lance!  And we had the best service ever and enjoyed so much our meal! So make sure you look for Lance when you eat at Yew!

Vancouver Sightings

By | Travel | 3 Comments

This is my third time to go to Vancouver but hardly remember the first two visits.  It was a perfect place to relax after a busy trip in LA.  It’s peaceful, clean and beautiful!  Everywhere you go is never crowded and you never have to stress about anything!

As everyone warned us, cold and rainy in Vancouver

So we just took the car and drove around.  We drove around the perimeter of Stanley park

Then went to Gastown

Pinoy Chef Brigade

By | Foodie, Proud to be Pinoy!, Travel | One Comment

We wanted to take the most direct flight to LA, so we heard that PAL was the most direct and it was straight from Manila to LA in just around 12 hours!  Love it! Aside from that, the food was great!  Heart2Heart is so happy that they are now featuring Filipino chefs!!  I normally don’t like airplane food and I am always happy when I can eat and enjoy in the plane

img_0215.jpgimg_0222.JPGimg_0218.jpgimg_0223.JPGimg_0225.JPGimg_0227.JPGimg_0228.JPGimg_0229.JPGimg_0231.JPGimg_0232.JPGimg_0234.JPG

This anytime dining menu always looks so good but I never get to have it since I am always asleep.  Good thing or else I would have gained 5 pounds in just one airplane ride 🙂

img_0221.JPG

And I always wake up for breakfast.  I love Filipino breakfast!

LA Sightings

By | Travel | No Comments

As soon as we arrived in LA, we were hungry so on the way to the hotel we passed by Taco Bell!  The first one we saw on the way- we stopped and entered.  And it was so scary because the counter was covered in bullet proof glass! And see where the arrow is pointing – that is a box that is bullet proof glass again where you get your food.  They open it from inside put your food in the box, then when they close the door that is the only time you can open your door to get your food!! YIKES!!  We ordered and ate and rushed right out of that Taco Bell and wondered what part of town we were in

Nobu Los Angeles

By | Foodie, Travel | 3 Comments

Ate in Nobu and loved it!  After eating so many dishes, we noticed that Japanese food seems to be light and finding ourselves never feeling full and regretful.  Heart2Heart likes the portions and that it is never too overwhelming. Love love Japanese food!

That evening, P Diddy ( Sean John ) was also dining at the restaurant and although I wanted to take his photo, Quito said we will look “touristy” if we asked for a photo.  But then again, we are tourists in LA!  😉

Koji

By | Arts and Culture, Travel, Yummy! | No Comments

Heart2Heart loves the museum row of LA!  Especially this part!  I saw it while we were driving and had the opportunity to stop by

img_1398.JPGimg_1401.JPGimg_1420.JPG

We followed this food truck named, KOJI!  Koji was parked that day by the Museum and we went to have their fusion Mexican-Korean burritos! I heard that people follow them on twitter so they know where the Koji truck will be parked on any given day, apparently they have a following

img_1400.JPGimg_1405.JPG

What an interesting menu!

We ordered and sat by the ledge facing the lamp posts 🙂

Tangerine Hotel

By | Accomodations, Travel | No Comments

We had to move to Burbank, so I had to research for a place to stay and discovered Tangerine in Trip Advisor.  I thought it was very okay and very decent for the price and for some reason, I like experiencing this type of accomodation in the States
