I don’t think this is in the menu but for the kids they always like spare ribs

long-beach-dempsey-hil-034.jpg

One of their specialties- Chili Crab – so good sana but too spicy for me, but I still ate some

long-beach-dempsey-hil-035.jpg

bread that comes with it so you can dip and scrape the sauce 🙂

This was the flat fish in the photo live in the aquarium

Hide Yamamoto, Marina Bay Sands

We finally arrived at our dinner venue….

A sample of their 10-course meal

hide-yamamoto-06.jpg

It was a beautiful place, we were so hungry as we had just arrived from the airport.  We had a reservation for 8:30 pm and they told us to be on time, we had to give credit card details in advance to guarantee our seating and we would have to pay $500.00 per person if we cancelled our reservation.  It was almost 9pm and they were still not sitting us and a group came in and were seated right away.  We were so upset, we complained to the manager, but then she was not so nice.   We asked to be served atleast drinks and appetizers as we were very hungry- she said she will give us cookies. Huh?  So we decided to just leave and maybe we should have charged them $ 500.00 per person since they didn’t seat us?

So we just walked out and looked for another place to eat and down the row was another Japanese restaurant

hide-yamamoto-038.jpghide-yamamoto-07.jpg

You can choose whether you want Robatayaki, Sushi, Teppanyaki or Ramen.

Ramen- we sat in the Ramen place but they gave a menu that covered almost everything except for the teppanyaki.  We just wanted to eat, so we were happy they were accomodating at this place

Singapore City Tour

By | Arts and Culture, Travel | One Comment

Singapore is like the new Hong Kong for Filipinos.  Seems like it is a very popular family destination since Universal Studios opened.  To me, I like it, the place is clean, organized and very disciplined.  Though just like the Philippines, the weather is hot.  It was a good thing we took the city tour on a bus 🙂  We saw the whole city ( which is just as big as Subic Bay ) in half a day and we learned a lot from our tour guide. I always like doing this so I could get a feel of what there is to do and see and then from there choose specific places you would like to visit individually.

Our first stop was the Botanical Gardens.  As they say, Singapore is the Garden City.  A city with many beautiful greens all over

citytoursingapore1.jpg

If you love orchids, do not miss this

Over 1000 species and 2,000 hybrids are now found in the Gardens’ collection, with about 600 species and hybrids on display.”

Though the bus was moving fast I took plenty shots of windows 🙂  French windows!! Love the ones with carvings and colors

Indian Town

Our tour guide said that these places are good places to buy electronics at good prices, but of course it’s always good to bargain and still canvass before pricing just like anywhere else

citytoursingapore11.jpgcitytoursingapore12.jpg

The famous Raffles Hotel, I always see it but have never been inside. One day….

citytoursingapore13.jpgcitytoursingapore14.jpg

Feng Shui area – the bus took us around 3 times around this fountain for GOOD LUCK 🙂 got a bit dizzy…. and no we did not go to the casino after this 🙂

citytoursingapore15.jpg

The Singapore Flyer

citytoursingapore16.jpg

This is my favorite view for the moment -the bus took us to the Esplanade and outside it, you can see this view of the new Marina Sands

Rimowa Travel Advisory

By | Finds, Pink, Travel | 5 Comments

A few weeks ago, I saw this!!! I got so excited because I had just recently held a Rimowa luggage used by Dad and Mom and I loved how light it was and how easy it was to tag along in the airport.

rimowa-luggage-custom.jpg

Then a week or so after, I saw this!!!!  It was James birthday and he gave a me a gift on his birthday!!! Hmmmm…. where can you find a husband like that?? 🙂  Today we travel and I bring along my pink luggage and will not have to worry too much about luggage allowance on the plane where sometimes just the luggage alone already weighs 7 kilos- so you have 13 kilos left for things to put inside! Not only will it be light but hopefully I will be able to spot my luggage on the carousel from far away….unless someone bought the same ones 🙂

White Spot Vancouver

By | Travel, Yummy! | 2 Comments

I realized I forgot to feature our last meal in Vancouver! I thought it was Miku but then I remembered we went to White Spot before our flight!  White Spot was recommended by almost everyone we asked…but since we had little time in Vancouver, Dad and Mom did not really prioritize this.  So as soon as we dropped them off in the airport, James and I went straight to a White Spot nearest the airport!  haha!!

 whitespotlogo.jpg

We had a later flight so I asked James to take me here.  They were only serving breakfast but it was a good thing they were kind enough to serve us the burger we wanted to order!

Tita Regina said that the burger with the triple O sauce was good, so I looked for it in the menu

Double Double Our biggest burger. A 1/2 lb. beef burger made with double 100% beef patties, double cheese, lettuce, tomato, Triple “O” sauce & double dills.

And the waiter recommended we add bacon, so we did! Since it was breakfast, they did not have french fries so they served us hashbrowns

IT WAS SO YUMMY!!!!

the-spot-vancouver-06.jpg

Here’s a closer look at the burger!!! YUM!!!

the-spot-vancouver-05.jpg

I wish we could have tried other dishes and other burgers!!  NEXT TIME!!

Les Amis Du Fromage

By | Cheese, Foodie, Travel | No Comments

This was not the last place we went to but I saved this feature for the last because it was the BEST place for Heart2Heart in Vancouver!!! I think around ten years ago, I dreamt of opening my own cheese store and restaurant where everything sold will be cheeses from all over the world and of all kinds and everything on the menu will be a cheese dish!  And I cannot believe I actually saw a place that fit exactly what I imagined my dream place to be!  Aside from a HEART store, a CHEESE STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Tita Regina for taking us here!!!

When we got to the place, I saw the MAGIC WORD! CHEESE! 🙂  There are two addresses because it actually has two locations – on the left side ( 843)  is the store and on the right ( 845 ) is the restaurant
