We had a very nice dinner at Chaya which apparently is a restaurant owned by the Tsunoda family from Japan.  They are the Starbucks partners in Japan where they have almost 900 Starbucks stores!!!

The food is Japanese fusion and it was very very good! 

Chef prepared assorted appetizers for us and they were all very good.  It’s not on the menu so I don’t know the names of the dishes 

This was my order for main dish which was really an appetizer – Seared Foie Gras Ballotine

we were all so full from the appetizers that some did not order anymore main dishes 

But always have room for dessert 🙂

A friend recommended this place and as soon as I heard Meditteranean, I didn’t think twice and asked James to take me here 🙂  

Since it was only James and I, we shared Beef dish # 1 on the menu, It was good 🙂 and just right for us

Another Asian favorite, Crustacean ( Thanh Long ), which we enjoy in San Francisco.  Now tried the one in LA

Also Across Sofitel and by the Beverly Center is Capital Grille. Our good friends took us here.  A very good Steak place!!

Imagine waking up with this view every morning!!  

or this!! I wish we could live here forever!! 🙂

and then having a buffet breakfast like this!! Tina prepares as if we are in a hotel!!  WHAT A BREAKFAST!! I did not know where to start or what I would choose, I wanted to eat everything! 🙂  Obviously too good to be true, had to head back home to Manila right after breakfast! 🙂
