An Intimate Affair with A2A Safaris

By | Travel | No Comments

A2A Safaris_1A2A Safaris_2Binky Dizon owner of A2A Safaris and Dave van Smeerdijk, co-owner of Asilia Africa. Asilia is one of the leading safari companies in East Africa operating 18 camps in Kenya and Tanzania and has won many awards from leading organizations such as Conde Nast Traveler and the World Travel and Tourism Council. I asked Dave where the best place to go to in Africa and he said – where there are a lot of animals and that’s in Tanzania. He told me the camps are boutique camps with the smallest being 3 rooms to a big one with 18 rooms. We both agreed that it’s more fun with a big group – whether family or a group of friends. And bigger group means bigger plane!!! Haha!! Plane sizes range from 4 to 20 or so.  One day we will get there.

They are running a special promotion with Asilia from Feb 1 – March 15, 2016 where for a minimum 6 –night stay in any combination of Asilia camps by 2 persons, the 2nd person stays for free.  This amazing promotion is only available from A2A Safaris and valid while spaces are available.

In Search of the Best Brisket

By | Travel | One Comment

Heart2Heart’s hubby is in search for the best brisket.  So wherever we go, we look for a brisket place.  On the way to Pebble Beach we stopped here for lunch – Famous Dave’s In Search of Good Brisket (8)

Burnt ends – we asked for tasting portion which is a good idea rather than ordering a whole order.  This was actually very good!   Better than the brisketIn Search of Good Brisket (4)

Love cornbread! 🙂In Search of Good Brisket (5)

Brisket was not their specialty but we still ordered it. It was okay according to the hubby.   No matter where we went, it was very hard to get brisket that was fatty.  Americans like their meat lean In Search of Good Brisket (6)

Banks in the USA

By | Travel | No Comments

I love the Bank buildings in the States!!  There are still a few that have kept their buildings since it is rare that you see banks these big especially with advanced technology in banking.  Some have already converted them into stores like the Restoration Hardware in Boston which used to be a bank building

Here are some that I saw Banks in the USA (2)

Road Trip to Ithaca

By | Travel | No Comments

Heart2Heart loves road trips!  When people heard we were going to Ithaca – they said – how far!  But actually it was only 3 hours from New Jersey and the drive was so so beautiful!  I could not stop taking videos of the road!!  It is so therapeutic and so relaxing ( of course thats for me as a passenger haha!! )  I am lucky my husband is very patient to always drive us around.  We used to drive 5 and a half hours to New Hampshire and once we drove to LA for almost 10 hours so 3 hours is not bad! 🙂  Road trip to Ithaca (1)
