Touring San Sebastian

By | Travel | One Comment

San Sebastian is a very small and quaint town.  When we arrived, Jose took us for a quick tour before dinner.  We drove a few miles from the hotel and took this elevator to take us up

To this view!

And from this view you can see the border of France!!  San Sebastian is very near France already so it would have been nice to do a France and Spain tour 🙂  But anyway, for future it would be good to have both in the itinerary

There was an old parador which was turned into a hotel

And going further inside is this!! It was so nice!!! So peaceful and so beautiful.  These are little homes

And this is what I like about Europe – their old buildings with so much character

Hotel De Londres San Sebastian Spain

By | Accomodations, Travel | No Comments

From Russia, we flew to Spain for our Gastronomic Tour!  We landed in Bilbao and took the bus to San Sebastian and checked in our hotel.  We loved our hotel

hotel-de-londres-7.JPG

In Europe most beds are like this, single beds, which we are not so happy about,  so we just stick them together 🙂

It’s not a 5 Star Hotel but we like the location and we love the view from our room!!!  I took a video which cannot really compare to being there and actually seeing God’s creation in front of you – nothing can compare to this blessing.  So blessed to be able to come to this beautiful place

From Russia, we went to Spain to eat! 🙂

travel-and-tapas-gastronomic-tour.JPG

We hired the services of Jose Macicior who was recommended by a friend of Tita Ina Dizon

travelandtapas-3.jpg

I plotted every hotel we stayed in in googlemaps and this was our route for the trip in Northern Spain.  We were already in the border of France ( you will see Bordeaux nearby already )  so it would be nice to also have a trip which mixes both French and Spanish gastronomy

northern-spain-itinerary.jpg

We hired Jose plus a bus to take us around Northern Spain

travelandtapas-2.JPG

Of course the bus has to have a driver and his name was Felix 🙂  Jose told me that he likes working with Felix because he is very patient and knows how to deal with people since he used to be a direct salesman where he has to deal with clients.  We were lucky to have Felix

travelandtapas-1.jpg

Jose is married to a Filipina, Isabel Aspillera, so he knows a lot about our ways 🙂  So even if he is Spanish, he adapts very well to our needs and knows more or less how we want things and he is so easy to get along with.  They live in London now but they go to Manila once in awhile still and to Spain of course

ttisabeljose4.jpgtravelandtapas-4.JPG

Jose can design a tour for you depending on where you would like to go in Spain and France.  He can go with you and escort you the whole way or he can just make a plan for you to follow and he will give his recommendations on restaurants and accommodations

Moscow Metro Tour

By | Travel | No Comments

We were on the go! Non stop! 🙂  Richard gave us a tour of the Moscow Metro!  I almost missed this since I was so tired already – but my Dad forced me to go and made sure I included this in my website!!  I am so glad I listened to him! 🙂

Thank you again Richard for the tour!  We went at night so that it is not as crowded as during the day or rush hour

We went to several stations and they were all so beautiful!!!

The Metro serves as a bomb shelter as well

Rub the nose of the dog for good luck!   We need that 🙂
