From Bilbao, we made our way to Santander
We stopped on the way to have lunch at Casa Enrique. We remembered our youngest brother, Quito named Enrique 🙂 An old family restaurant with recipes passed on from generation to generation

We celebrated Mom’s birthday and Thanksgiving. It was so nice to see Tito Ralph there and Tita Winny and Tito Christian Monsod who are regulars at Gourmet Garage!
And Mom officially started Christmas at Gourmet Garage by giving the staff their Christmas gear! 🙂
My favorite dish for the moment that replaced raclette 🙂 Baked Goat Cheese with Sundried tomatoes, roasted garlic and fresh rosemary

We had one night of tapas the night we arrived in Bilbao. We went to a place which Binky recommended- Victor Montes
Love the place and we are happy there is seating
We asked our waiter if he was Victor Montes because it said so in his uniform 🙂
We love Sangria! It’s the only alcoholic drink we know 🙂

Binky recommended we get the steak! YUMMY!! And do not forget to have the Chuleton with roquefort cheese sauce on the side for those who like cheese

Bilbao is a small city. The Guggenheim was the main attraction for us and we spent two nights in Bilbao just so we had a relaxing pace.
From the hotel, you walk a few blocks to get to their main street. After the museum, we were itching to do some shopping! 🙂 I love this little cheese shop which we passed on the way

You hit the main plaza which is the center of the city
then you go through the different streets around it. But there is a main shopping street and they had beautiful old buildings! Always love them in Europe

We were craving for chuletitas! We were in Spain for 5 days already and have not had some chuletitas so we asked Jose to look for a restaurant that served it. And he found one! A very nice one at that 🙂
They gave us complimentary jamon and a plate each of bread with like salad
The highlight of the menu for us 🙂
Cordero lechal asado which we did not order, but we should have after seeing it come out of the brick oven!
CHULETITAS!!!!! YUM YUM SUPER YUM! That looks a lot but because it’s baby lamb chops, it’s actually a good portion. The cochinillo asado was so good too!!! WE LOVE THIS PLACE!
