So happy to visit my AC Batchmate Adiel Ty Cruz @adieltycruz She has been living in Colombo for 1 1/2 yrs already because her husband Carl is the Country Manager of Unilever ( since 1992 he has been with Unilever & has also been assigned in India and Thailand). They have one and a half more years in Sri Lanka and they are happy expats here  #h2hpeople

 Gabie their youngest daughter is also a good friend of our son and baked yummy oatmeal cookies !  They also served us delicious homemade samosas.   Love their beautiful home which has stunning views of the city, the sea and mountains.  Excited to try their favorite tea – Lipton Ceylon tea by Unilever and the other teas and cookies.  There is only one villa which I thought was really an Aman type of accommodation.  I heard from the grape vine 🙂 that this was built by the former owner of the hotel for her lover which is why there is only one of them

 We learned today how cinnamon is made at Villa Mayurana. The world’s best cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka (95%) , light colored, and in barks. Cinnamon has many medicinal benefits as well.
