Another project by the Negrese for Change Foundation ( NVC ) is the Start Right Live Bright Project
These beautiful ladies, Giselle and Camille, explained to me about Mingo 🙂 You can buy Mingo at P 4.00 a pack which is good for a day already for a child. There are two flavors, regular and chocolate. Of course kids prefer chocolate 🙂 Mingo was already existent before Yolanda came and they were using Mingo for relief in the past. All you need is water to mix with the powdered Mingo. Read more below
Another way you can help this Christmas is by buying Mingo cards for only P 250.00 and help in their feeding program

Contact them if you would like to help out in this project [email_link]
I was looking at all my delayed Spain posts and suddenly had a craving for Spanish food!!! It’s a good thing Rambla opened in Rockwell!!! Opened by the same owners as Las Flores. Uri Singla was there 🙂 Rambla is Catalan food. I have never been to that area so I am so happy to have been able to try their cuisine! Previous entry: Las Flores April 16, 2013 Chef Pepe who is their corporate chef Pretty servers 🙂 Loved my Naughty Banana Smoothie ( even though I am not naughty! 🙂 ) We ordered almost everything on the menu! We wanted to try all!! 🙂 Good thing we were a lot 🙂 Everything was good!! No need to go all the way to Spain to have good Spanish food when you can have it here! Super yum croquettes!! Please have some more croquettes with different fillings! Uri personally took care of us! We got the BEST service 🙂 Spherical Olives Yum!!! My Dad was telling Uri to have a degustation meal! I hope they will offer this in the future. Chef Pepe is very talented! Crispy Catalan Flat bread – Butifara and the next one was Goat cheese! VERY GOOD!! Egg dishes were also excellent! Amazing how a simple egg is now being cooked in many ways! WOW! Burrata!! A MUST! We almost tried everything on the meat menu except the cannelloni Wow! 🙂 Once in awhile hopefully is not bad! Uri told us that we need to try this since this is the Chef’s specialty! It was amazing. Under those prawns is the chicken and seafood coulant! AMAZING! First time for me to try a dish like this YUM!!!!! I can’t stop saying yum! Everything was really good. PORK PORK PORK! 🙂 A very well made crispy suckling pig! YUM! Seafood dishes which were all very popular. We were 9 in the table and we shared all the dishes We had three out of the four 🙂 YUM! Churros 🙂 [email_link]

We had one night of tapas the night we arrived in Bilbao. We went to a place which Binky recommended- Victor Montes Love the place and we are happy there is seating We asked our waiter if he was Victor Montes because it said so in his uniform 🙂 We love Sangria! It’s the only alcoholic drink we know 🙂 Our orders 🙂 Don’t ask me the names! We just choose and see what we like on the bar 🙂 Binky recommended we get the steak! YUMMY!! And do not forget to have the Chuleton with roquefort cheese sauce on the side for those who like cheese Click below to go to their website Bilbao is a small city. The Guggenheim was the main attraction for us and we spent two nights in Bilbao just so we had a relaxing pace. From the hotel, you walk a few blocks to get to their main street. After the museum, we were itching to do some shopping! 🙂 I love this little cheese shop which we passed on the way Sculptures and more pastelerias 🙂 You hit the main plaza which is the center of the city then you go through the different streets around it. But there is a main shopping street and they had beautiful old buildings! Always love them in Europe [email_link]
I have been wanting to see this place! I went once on a Saturday but it was closed. It’s only opened on weekdays When I heard about the sale, I attempted to go again It’s a food service store but you can also buy things for your home kitchen [email_link]
Take time out to watch the video. I am so happy that Marla Dizon shared this with me! Heart2Heart is so happy that there exists such a foundation, the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc ( RAFO ) and provides a different need – SHELTER KITS! [wp_youtube]N1Wso5L1s5Q&[/wp_youtube]
Marla’s Dad, Tito Paquito Dizon and Vita Sarenas of Finale Gallery will be raising money through an auction which will be held today! All proceeds will go to RAFI to buy more shelter kits 100% of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation to purchase shelter kits. Shelter has had to take a backseat to food and medicine but is integral to the recovery process. The NYTimes came out with an article last week about the increas in pneumonia as a direct result of the lack of shelter. I am so glad there are so many people helping and covering as many areas as possible to ensure the safety and well being of our fellowmen! So glad they cover 3 steps which has a longer term response The shelter kids will be distributed through the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc Each costs P 3,500.00 CONTENTS OF A SHELTER KIT [email_link]
