By | Beauty, Shopping | No Comments

Born from the same legacy of quality in skincare, Dove Hair Care boasts a formulation that has been proven effective by more and more women convinced by the superior results that it delivers.

Since its launch early this year, Dove Hair has proved why it is loved and respected worldwide. A brand who keeps women’s desires close to heart, Dove Hair Care focuses more on developing their products to give women from different walks of life what they need to feel beautiful.

To continue its mission of providing superior care to women’s locks, Dove Hair got real ladies who excel in different fields as they bear witness to the brand’s latest breakthrough.

Breast cancer survivor and founder of Project Pink Lara Melissa de Leon Joseph shares, “My hair is important to me, so it is also important that I choose the right product.”  Women have always worried about dry hair, same goes for the woman behind the success of the Philippines’ Biggest Loser and Sexy Solutions by Belo Nadine Tengco, “When I first got the call, I thought to myself, Is my hair that bad?”, she says with a laugh, “But after trying it, I’ll definitely continue using it because I get quality without the price tag.”

Adding to the list of real women who have experienced Dove Hair are entrepreneur Kai Lim, founder of StartART project Nikki Luna, founder of Mercato Centrale group of markets Vanessa Ledesma, business development manager Amanda Lapus, health advocate Isabel Roces, image enhancement speaker Patty Betita, editor-at-large of Philippine Tatler Mia Borromeo, accessories designer Nicole Whisenhunt, tri-athlete Ani de Leon, stylist Bea Constantino, Radio DJ Delamar Arias, and Youtube sensation Ashley Rivera.

Amanda Lapus: “My Dove experience came at an opportune moment when I felt I needed a change for something lighter. I felt free from anxiety knowing I was trying a brand that was safe, very natural and fuss-free.”

Nadine Tengco: “I’m hypersensitive which is why I’m careful with what I use. I was surprised that it was very gentle on my hair.”

Vanessa Ledesma: “Everyday’s a bad hair day without the right product. So I said to myself, I’m gonna continuously buy Dove Hair cause it’s been working for me”.

Lara Melissa de Leon Joseph: “Since I do a lot of swimming and outdoor exercises, these damage my hair a lot. I now find confidence in using the right shampoo and conditioner– Dove Hair now does these. ”

 lara-melissa-de-leon-dove.jpg

Nikki Luna: “Dove Hair’s shampoo and conditioner did not give me any unrealistic hair image expectations. It just felt good using it; I think that’s the best part.”

Atty. Karen Jimeno: “I find the product less superficial in a sense. I like that the things that it claimed it can do are very practical.”

 karen-jimeno-for-dove-shampoo.jpg

Kai Lim: “My friends are always in the lookout for new products that have value for money and I think this product is exactly that.”

Tita Reggie pointed it out to me that it is very Filipino to have a last supper painting or decor in the dining room of Filipino families, and I am really beginning to notice that 🙂

everybodys-cafe-012.jpgeverybodys-cafe-025.jpg

I like the plaques around the place with prayers and sayings 🙂 Poch told me that his dad made these plaques

everybodys-cafe-057.jpg

We ordered quite a number of dishes but we were not as adventurous, my batchmates were quite conservative in ordering.  I concentrated on a few dishes that i really liked which were the Murcon, Sisig, Duck adobo and Sisig! 🙂 Oh and the longganisa!!! YUM!!

After lunch, Poch showed me around some more.  He pointed out that his dad was a blacksmith and so he made the tables which you will see in the restaurant.  The cylinder below is made out of the cylinder for bullets from the war

everybodys-cafe-048.jpg

Then he took me to the function room- bigger space for events and parties

everybodys-cafe-053.jpg

He showed me a painting on the wall made in 1967 and repainted in 1979

everybodys-cafe-049.jpg

Its the whole wall!! Beautiful!  I love it because it is FILIPINO themed!

everybodys-cafe-050.jpgeverybodys-cafe-051.jpgeverybodys-cafe-052.jpg

The artist who painted this was an artist who used to make posters and billboard for movies in the olden days when everything had to be handpainted- so he drew portraits of artists and so you will notice that some of the faces look like familiar faces like  Andres Bonifacio looks like Fernando Poe 🙂

everybodys-cafe-054.jpg

And the Katipunero looks like Ferdinand Marcos 🙂

everybodys-cafe-056.jpg

And a sexy Filipina

everybodys-cafe-055.jpg

And love this plaque the most!  Thank you Pock and Everybody’s Cafe for a wonderful Filipino dining experience

Build A Classroom Project by AC Batch ’87

By | For kids, Giving Back, Velada 2012 | 3 Comments

In a few months, we will be having our Velada!!  One of our batch initiatives aside from raising money for the school and the mission schools of the school, is to go outside and do our own charity work and with the help of my best friend and our batch mate, Eds Genuino, we were able to get sponsorship from Tito Frank Drilon who built a classroom in our behalf.  Around 6 months ago, we went to Katutubo Elementary school

This furniture maker gave us some and wow, it had a lot of laman! Deadly but yummy!  I am not a chicharon expert but it was good.  I had our friend deliver some so I could share it with you.  They don’t deliver to Manila so I had 10 packs delivered last night and if you are passing by to pick up some buko sherbet

at the store, you might want to try some Pampanga Chicharon! It’s only P 295.00 for the bag you see below.  They sent us a different one with less fat so it won’t be as unhealthy as the other one!

Design For Our Living Room

By | Homes and Interiors | 6 Comments

When we moved into our house last December, we moved all our old furniture and spread it around the house.  We kept everything and used them.  This was our living room when we moved in

img_0825.JPGimg_0826.JPG

Then After Christmas we removed the Christmas Tree and the leather couch and moved it to the basement

We made the living room like a gallery in the meantime that we are searching for the pieces that will fit the living room.  Aside from the expense to put up the whole living room, we are hoping to find the pieces slowly and find the ones we like

living-room-design-02.jpgliving-room-design-01.jpg

This is the photo of the old living room which is Oriental and a Ramon Antonio look in the 70’s

 2-1686-2728-0.jpg

My friend Rachelle insists that the look should be Ralph lauren.  She brought this magazine and told me to go for this theme.  I would also like to get more ideas on what look we should have for our living room…if you have any ideas, please share them with me and email your pegs to ricadejesus@mac.com.  After a few weeks, i will post them here 🙂  I would love to hear from you!!!
