Women today have choices to make, and they’re not always easy. In a world of luxury handbags, she’s got to look the part without sacrificing any of the fun stuff. Now comes the name that will become every girl’s best friend, with a drizzle of color and a dash of chic is Sam Edelman – the name that is low fuss, high style, and a price point that allows every girl to play by her own rules.

edelman11.jpg edelman1.jpgedelman2.jpg

The possibilities are simply unimaginable with endless combinations of color and design. With an extensive background, Sam Edelman’s influences has spanned since the beginning of his education. Continuously looking for what women would want in shoes, Sam produced designs that are unique to its brand.

 edelman3.jpgedelman4.jpg

Sam Edelman Shoes was launched in New York City back in 2004. It has a solid distribution in over 750 independent specialty stores in the USA and abroad, a hand-picked selection of top-notch department stores. Famous for his introduction of the ballet shoes, the Sam Edelman line has reinvented it with different designs. The ballet shoe still makes an occasional appearance, but it’s got attitude now, and more often than not, it’s got heels. Gone are the days of the “harried, yet nurturing” working mother, the Sam Edelman woman is dressing for herself now. She’s independent, she’s influential, she’s in better shape than she was in her teens and she’s certainly not going to apologize for having lots of shoes.

edelman5.jpg edelman6.jpg

With his new line, Sam insists on instilling the psyche and energy of luxury shoes without the high-end price tag. Browse a selection of Sam Edelman’s and you’ll get the impression that someone out there is paying attention. Featured in the world’s top magazines like Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue, Sam Edelman the brand has certainly grown to be a staple fashion statement for women in all walks of life. Created with a combination of quality materials and sheer creativity produces a line full of color and style. Whether in tinted python skin or fine leather, the combinations of styles for Sam Edelman are infinite.

 edelman7.jpgedelman8.jpg

When Sam Edelman pictures shoes, he pictures life, a strategy that works because he is so enthusiastic about his own. Try to walk a mile in Sam’s shoes and feel the contagious enthusiasm, and unfaltering optimism for life that may pave your path. You will want to walk a thousand in them.

edelman9.jpg edelman10.jpg

And at a fast paced lifestyle, power up your knack for making simple the most elegant only with Sam Edelman Shoes.

Sam Edelman is exclusively distributed by Rustan Commercial Corporation and is available at Rustan’s Makati, Shangri-la and Alabang Town Center.

By | Foodie | No Comments

Tita Ludette is always so thoughtful and always checks on Dad.  Again she invited Dad over for dinner and she of course cooked a wonderful meal for us. Miam Miam!! ( Yummy in French ) 🙂  She told James and I that we did not have to come as they were all “senior citizens” and we might get bored…apparently not!  We enjoyed our time with Tita Ludette who is always very entertaining and enjoyed listening to their conversation and learning from them 🙂  Thanks Tita for watching over Dad

French Fashion House Opens In Manila!

By | Fashion, What's New at Rustan's | 3 Comments

Playful, fun, and stylish are the design elements that embody French female fashion brand Caché-Caché. It provides young ladies with endless possibilities to freely express themselves and their fashion sense with its bubbly, amusing, and sophisticated apparel and accessories.

cache-cache-spring-summer-2010-collection-1.JPG cache-cache-spring-summer-2010-collection-2.JPG

cache-cache-store-in-france-2.jpgcache-cache-store-in-france-3.jpgcache-cache-store-in-france-4.jpgcache-cache-store-in-france-5.jpgcache-cache-store-in-france-6.jpgcache-cache-store-in-france.jpg

The French phrase cache-cache means the game “hide and seek”. With Caché-Caché, customers can feel the spirit of “game” and “fun” they create. They change their styles according to different moods, whether it is impish, playful, natural, adventurous, sparkling and so on. Style mavens can get to experiment and be rebelliously fashionable with its apparel and accessories that fit whatever game you would like to put on without sacrificing quality and sophistication.

cache-cache-spring-summer-2010-collection.jpg

The brand had its beginnings in Saint Malo, France in 1985. Caché-Caché is one of the 5 fashion labels under the Beaumanior Group. With the successful acquisition of the famous Morgan brand in 2009, Beaumanoir Group accelerated their pace of development, combined with the advantages of the brand’s resources and advanced management experience. One of the keys to their success is due to its “willing-to-share” rather than “ready-to-take” franchising system. Caché-Caché started to establish itself in the international market in 2005, with Shanghai being the chosen location for their first international store. Following this, similar launches were made in Saudi Arabia, Poland, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Turkey, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Romania, Singapore – and soon in Manila!

With Caché-Caché’s cool, chic, and vibrant designs, it continues to become the favorite partner in fashion of many stylephiles all over the world and now in Manila!

In the Philippines, CACHE-CACHE is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists, Inc. (SSI) and is available in SM Megamall Building B, Ortigas Pasig City.

Chowking Spices Things Up With A New And OH!SOME DISH

By | Foodie, Great Achievements | One Comment

Chowking is suddenly one of my favorite fast food places nowadays!  I recently tried their new Orange chicken and love it.  It reminds me of one of my favorite dishes, General Tso’s chicken which I have for around US$ 12.00 in New York  and at Chowking I can have it for P 69.00 🙂 Just make sure it is crispy!!! YUMMY!

and even if I did not get to dance the chicken dance I made sure I had a photo with Echo!!! 🙂

p1170394.JPG

In the middle of a long day at work or after a tiring 9 to 5, perhaps nothing can sound more enticing than treating yourself out to a nice, special meal instead of eating your regular, home-cooked fare. But don’t you just wish there was something different and exciting in restaurant menus to shake things up? Well, wait no longer – because at Chowking, there’s something oh so new and oh so delicious to wake up and titillate those tired taste buds!

From the country’s number one and pioneering quick-service Chinese restaurant chain comes the your favorite juicy and crispy chicken now with an orange twist! It’s Chowking’s new OH!some OH!range Chicken: chunks of juicy, premium meat that’s crisp on the outside and tender on the inside; richly flavored by a masterful blend of Chinese seasonings and generously topped with a tangy, amber-colored glaze and real mandarin orange bits.

chowkingohsome5.jpg

Whether for lunch or dinnertime, you can finally forgo your usual fried chicken without sacrificing the familiar feel and quality that loyal Chowking customers know and love. And like the rest of the appetizing and affordable dishes being offered by the chain, the recipe for Chowking Orange Chicken is tailor-made to please the specific demands of the Filipino palate and comes specially prepared in the kitchen of expert, Gold-certified chefs; ladled hot and fresh upon order onto your waiting plate.

So delightful is this orange twist that it shares the limelight in Chowking’s new campaign with none other than celebrity endorser Jericho Rosales and his OH!some OH!range dance moves!

chowkingohsome2.jpg

With his contagious dance move mapapasayaw ka when you get your hands on the oh! so juicy, oh! so sweet and spicy, and oh! so orange-y savory morsels.
