I have been hearing that Randy had a beautiful house in Tagaytay and we have been planning to visit but it just never happened for a long time. When someone tells you it’s so nice, you have very high expectations and we did! But when we got there, everything exceeded more than our expectations!!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL HOUSE!!! After our visit, we wanted to suddenly have a Tagaytay home! 🙂 But only in our dreams 🙂 Featured in The Tropical House and Cover and featured in Philippine Tatler Interiors Our hosts – Randy and Candy You will see a lot of African art and accessories which Randy bought in his trip to Africa Elevator which actually came in handy for Candy who is pregnant at the moment As I turned left – I was floored by the stuffed polar bears!!!! I thought I was in the Museum of Natural History! They came from Canada Go down the stairs and look right!!! You have the whole view of the lake and the Taal volcano!! Fire place You know who is the boss here in the house!!! Cute how those giant stuffed toys fit in so well in the living room Little Sebi The view!!! Chef Randy was actually a student at Le Cordon Bleu. He told us his story where his instructor got mad at him for not being able to chop and cut vegetables correctly – Randy argued that he does not need to do that because he has plenty assistants to help him back home! haha!!! He had a different kind of Japanese rice, he put bananas 🙂 I enjoyed watching him cook the fried rice, I asked him to share the recipe with us. Some of you might like this style of Japanese rice, it gives it a bit of sweetness and makes it more wet and sticky. I hope i described it correctly 🙂 Or you can just do without the banana And lots of crispy beef fat 🙂 And the SECRET SAUCE! If you ask me, This is the one that is more important than the banana 🙂 This is also one of the sauces for the steak which was in the sauce container From Randy: 1 part soy sauce and wine. Half mirin. Lots of onions, and a few cloves of garlic. Bring to boil, and blend. For the cooking, just blend it with butter And this other secret sauce! It’s the Benihana Hot Mustard Sauce. We visited Randy and Candy in their home in Tagaytay! What a beautiful view from their home!!! Going down to the deck Sneak peek of the beautiful house!!! After going to Tagaytay for the day on Saturday, we went back again on Sunday! Just for breakfast! We are loving Tagaytay! 🙂 What an extensive menu for breakfast!! We only had an omelette to share as we were rushing – but wow, this is one of the best omelettes I have ever tried. An omelette is an omelette but I really liked this one.
