The abuela in Abuela’s is the abuela of Mai Lacson Legasto, the wife of Chef Marco who executes all the heirloom recipes of Abuela Eduarda Cuyugan Lacson with a modern twist. How nice that recipes are passed on from generation to generation to keep the spirit alive

So happy to meet Chef Yoshimi Igarashi. He is the chef that started Benkay in all the Nikko hotels ( JAL hotels) all over the world.
He is also the Chef of Sushi Kapo Kobikicho. And next year in January he will be opening a Japanese restaurant in Somerset owned by the same owners of @abuelasmanila He will be serving Traditional Japanese food and Kaiseki meals. So yummy! Chicken Wings!! It was spicy which I do not normally eat but I still ate it because it was so good 🙂 
2 years ago we tried Mighty Quinn’s @mightyquinnsbbq in New York City. We tried their brisket and burnt ends and dirty fries in their 2nd Ave branch. We didn’t get to try their Brontosaurus which we thought was fattier and more yummy than the brisket!!! A MUST try at @mightyquinnsph That whole rib for only P1,450 with all the sides!!! 
The only dessert on the menu – Bread Pudding with of course a scoop of Selecta Vanilla ice cream! 🙂 More ice cream on the menu please! 🙂

That whole event was prepared and organized by the eldest son of John and Peachy, Michael Concepcion! I first met Michael when Peachy wrote about him in her book and that was in 2007! Now he is all grown up! He has 4 stores selling fashion and he is an event organizer!! Obviously he is very creative and so talented!! Congratulations Michael!! Looking forward to more!!

It’s a brasserie style restaurant offering provencal cuisine and named after the most notable and famous poem by Nobel Prize winning poet Frederic Mistral.
